- MARRØN s’efforce en permanence de repousser ses propres limites en misant sur une rythmique rapide, inspirée de ses racines. Son nom d’artiste est en effet un hommage à d’anciens esclaves d’origine africaine, ces marrons qui ont défié l’oppression et conquis leur liberté dans les forêts vierges duSuriname.
Les beats hypnotiques qui faisaient la part belle aux percussions, caractéristiques du style afro deep de MARRØN, ont laissé place à une forme de techno singulière. Son interprétation énergique du genre correspond bien au milieu underground, dans lequel il joue justement un rôle clé en tant que cofondateur d’un cycle d’événements organisé à Amsterdam, EERSTE COMMUNIE - où il est également l’un des DJ en résidence. Inspiré par des artistes comme Ben Klock et Rødhäd, MARRØN s’attache à raconter une histoire à travers sa musique, dans laquelle il rassemble toutes ses influences initiales. C’est le côté libre et hétérogène de la techno qui l’a amené à s’intéresser à la scène underground. Il compte désormais parmi les étoiles montantes de la musique techno contemporaine.
Le Ruhr Museum et la Fondation Zollverein ont lancé le projet Stone Technoen collaboration avec The Third Room, investissant le complexe minierde Zollverein - un site inscrit au Patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Une initiative inédite qui vise à rendre audibles et palpables les mutations à l’œuvre dans l’histoire culturelle et naturelle de la Ruhr. Le projet est piloté par le scientifique Achim G. Reisdorf et le musicien Ahmet Sisman.
L’édition 2023 du Stone Techno Festival s’est tenue les 8 et 9 juillet au Zollverein.
Il s’agit de l’unique festival d’électro au monde à se dérouler sur un site inscrit au Patrimoine mondial. Depuis 2021, ARTE Concert est partenaire média du Stone Techno.

No outlandish effects, no crazy drops, just straight up rhythm from start to finish. Cant even here where tracks start and end. Crazy, unheard of style, yet familiar and quintessential techno 🖤

It's not unheard of though. This is an entire sub-genre called Raw/Hypnotic Techno.

Another one of those people that I've seen making the rounds is Charlotte De Witte, goes to show that just because your have access to Unreleased Alignment tracks that doesn't mean you are a good DJ. Love Alignment though didn't mean to drag him into this.

Sobald ich Arte Concert abonniert habe, bekomme ich nur noch Vorschläge für Musik die mich nicht interessiert aber für elektronische Musik nicht mehr. Das kann doch nicht im Interesse von Arte sein. Ich bin dafür das Ihr Arte Concert weiter unterteilt und einen Kanal „Arte Concert elektronik Musik“ ins Leben ruft.
