Great video! XLK is a higher risk ETF vs QQQ, hence the higher return. Any major issues with APPL or MSFT would be crushing. Sell very low delta covered calls against QQQ and enjoy the lower risk ETF and also capture decent option income.
Yes. Hard to argue that point plus the Q's are great for options. Still hard to look past the performance so I'll look at it as an opportunity when everyone starts talking smack about MSFT and APPL!😁
Nice overview of XLK and i really like that overlap tool. I use it all the time to see like you said if i am overly invested in an individual stock or sector. I also like to use the sector ETFs when i run my wheel strategy. When I’m selling puts, I like to eliminate single stock risk as much as possible.
Hey. I find myself gravitating toward ETFs for wheeling as well. That may change with my view of the market. I did get a bit heavy with selling PUTs on FITB but couldn't resist the premiums when volatility went through the roof. All closed out now. It was like a bad storm rolled through. Lol.
The prospect should tell you what index it follows and the weighing of the index. It is similar to the VGT etf which follows the msci market index 25/50 investable technology. The weights are determined by the index in this etf.
Hi. I can look at making a video about leveraged products like TQQQ. However, in short, if you want to buy and hold the Nasdaq, buy QQQ. If you want to make a short term directional bet on the Q's, you might CONSIDER TQQQ. Day trades or 1-2 month max duration is when I might consider TQQQ. But I would probably still just use options instead. Just my opinion!
@@wealthadventures very interested in you opinions on this subject. I have been holding TQQQ for about a year and a half and averaged down since. I don’t fully understand but I’m open to new ideas. Thank you for the time you spend explaining
With the AI advancement, there are several companies that will continue to grow two of which are Apple and Microsoft. So any ETF with large holding of these companies will continue to have great outcome.
Hey brother, would like to see you do a review of IDVO, the new amplify International ETF. Love your channel. It is my favorite. Would also be great to see how it compares toSCHY from Schwab.
Knowledgeable video! Can I purchase XLK from any brokerage firm ? Can I use XLK into my traditional IRA account ? Which resource did you use (website address) at 4:56 ? Thank You.
Hi. Yes. Good selection criteria for a value and dividend driven fund. Over the long term it will be a good performer IMO. Happy to buy as it moves lower. Although, my general view of the market is still a bit bearish.

This is one of the reasons why AAPL and MSFT keep rising, they are heavily represented in so many ETFs.
Hi Hans. That is an interesting thought.
Isn’t it auto managed? Stocks will be sold if it’s over priced in etf ?
@@LV-ei1ce not in a passively managed ETF such as SPY or VOO. They track the S&P by weight. So the the bigger they get the more they get bought.

BST is another one that can be pretty good in a bull run pays monthly distributions too
Thanks for the informative video Dave !
Can you talk about the difference between QQQ and TQQQ

Thanks Dave! I OWN VGT rather than XLK. Hope you will do analysis on COWZ ETF soon.
VGT would be a good alternative to XLK.
Thank you!
Welcome! Thanks for watching.

2 great stocks.
Hi thoughts on IYW? I’m looking to add that to my portfolio I’m already heavy tech with xlk and vgt but I do want more for growth
I would likely stick with XLK and VGT versus adding another.

My IRAs are on Fidelity and Robinhood and all the ETFS are available. I bought multiple ETFS into my IRAs.
You have also been a long-time supporter of SCHD.....? mine is down over 8%, still a fan?

Oh noes, exposed to Apple! 😱 AAPL bought my house.
Ha! Apple is a great stock but still need to consider balance. Especially for those at or near retirement.
