I was born in 66 far after I should have been. I love good humble football. It was how I developed as a high schooler. I am a relative of a former 64 Brown also a former Steeler. He was a stickler on humility. Yet training hard waa an expectation. Great men!
I kicked Groza style in middle school. Hit a 37 yarder at age 13. By high school i was a backup. Kicked a 41 yarder nullified by offside for a 1st down. Straight kicker. Still out there.
the product on the field today is simply not football. True football can only be viewed by watching these old videos. football as we know it ended in 2006 when it's centrally hard hits were deemed illegal. Today's players are certainly great athletes but they are not playing football as football was played. Today's player would not last 1 series in yesteryears game. the Antics on the field today are simply cringe-worthy. Thank you for posting videos such as this that keep real football alive in our memories.
It's funny.......the athletes are better, yet the game today bores me to the point that I have no desire to watch it. Maybe if they just changed the name to something more appropriate. I vote for Diva Ball.

I never knew he played in the NFL either. I thought he was just a movie 🌟
Loved him in Spies Like Us and I’m going to get you Sucka. Really liked him. He’s also from my state: West Virginia
Bernie Casey was also in “Sharkey’s Machine” with Burt Reynolds. Played WR for the Forty Niners and Rams. Liked him as a player and actor. ✊

I agree 100%. But the herds of youngsters will never know.
Most of today's players would flourish.
The rules today benefit the qb so much that some of today's qbs wouldn't do what they do stat wise.
Quit you're bitching. There's nothing wrong with the game now.
