Tron: Legacy is just... A fucking masterpiece, in my opinion. I think I feel this way because I saw Legacy before the original Tron. When I first watched this film almost 10 years ago, I was only heading into my early teens... And I can tell you now, this bloody film is probably the sole reason I'm so into the 80s "aesthetic" with all the grids, clean emissive lines, bomb ass electronic music and all that. I don't care if the story wasn't super fleshed out; they built a world, and they built it well. Without the damn solid steel backbone that is Daft Punk's music and it's unique art style, this film wouldn't have worked. I love this film, and I always will. *END OF LINE, MAN*
I LOVE this film. The story of the relationship between father and son and the characters are very resonant for me. Especially Clu. One of my favorites.
I love Tron: Legacy. It's one of my favorites movies of all time. I love the atmosphere it has, the world it builds, and I also like and understand the characters. Glad to see someone doing content about a movie I love so much, and that hasn't had much attention since it came out.
I have to say the movie was fun, but the story was severely lacking. I saw this on the big screen and in Imax and it looked great, except for the cg Jeff Bridges it totally took my out of the world is was so distracting. I have to disagree with Andy D. I'm sorry I love Michael Shannon but he was way over the top in this film and again made it really hard to concentrate on what was happening. The best thing in this film were Olivia Wilde with this being her breakthrough performance for me and the soundtrack was amazing. The visuals were really great except for what I mentioned before. Keep up the amazing work guys, until next week!
Great summary, Damien. Couldn't agree more (sorry Andy) - Andy H
