I use clear spray paint on the vinyl when it is on the pen. If it is not completely flat on the pen, epoxy will get under it and then that causes me more work to do later. I’ll be uploading a video on adding decals and waterslides to pens hopefully next week so be sure to subscribe!
you mention that you only sand the clip part and not the whole pen. I see so many will tell you to sand the whole pen which I thought they tell you that so that the epoxy has something to hold onto. Evidently that is a old wives tale?
I spray paint the entire pen so as long as my spray paint likes my pen, there is no need to sand the entire thing. My spray paint is now the base that the epoxy needs to adhere to. Does that make sense?
You can find him on Facebook. Send him a message. Alternative, you can put a rubber band around a foam insert like I have linked in my description and it works just the same :) m.facebook.com/CajunTech3d

Do you spray paint vinyl once you put it on pen or before?

Great tutorial, but where did you get the turner attachment that holds the pens as they spin? I don’t see that linked. Thank you!
It took a while to remember where I purchased it lol. You can get it here: facebook.com/CajunTech3d
Where did you get your storage box live it for the pens. Never thought 💭 of that great idea.
I got it at michaels! Much easier this way!
@@glitteringthecoast Thank you I found one at Hobby Lobby and didn’t even know I had it. Still organizing my craft room.
It’s so handy! I was putting everything in ziploc bags lol. This is much easier.
I didn’t see where you got the pen holder. I seen where it said tumbler but not for the pen holder.
I just updated the description. It has the link in it now. You can adjust the storage compartment sizes :) I hope that helps!
