I've got a bunch of stories about an 89 Chevy Berretta. I chased a cow with it through a beanfield, dragged a tree down Main Street with a chain hooked to the back end of it, put a door on it that didn't have a seatbelt anymore, and then eventually drove it to the scrap yard and processed it in their parking lot. Plus there's s a few other fun little stories in there too. Let me know if you guys want to hear the full bit!!!

Just today bought me a 89 f-150 2wd short box with 54,000 actual proven miles out of a barn in ritzville WA for 600$ guy said hey there's a 5.0 with a tremec 5 speed up in the main shop thats been gone through and I never got around to putting it in this truck and my 12 year old daughter said oh dad ya better make the man an offer cause it's sound like it needs to go in my truck! The fella goes this is gonna be your truck? Yes sir my dad and I are gonna build it together like he did with my older sister, and before I could ask how much he said well young lady if you promise to keep your nose clean and take good care of it you can have the motor and transmission, she said yes sir and shook his hand. He wouldn't except any money I tried. We're headed to pick up some wheels and tires for it now and gonna start pulling old motor and trans tonight.
I found my 77’ 280z along with a 280zx in a barn in Kansas. I drove by this barn for 15 years until one day this farm owners barn door was open. 60k original miles, absolutely zero rust. It was an auto cross car for 10 years until the owner put it away. $600 dollars, a bit of brake fluid and a battery and I drove it home on old fuel.
I’m chatting to a guy locally who has a 260z 2+2 super samuri (Samurai was another company name in the UK - they converted them in period to a racing spec) under a tarp in his garden next to a Gordon-keeble. He keeps telling me he has promised them to a local scrap merchant who hasn’t collected them yet so they are not for sale. Glad to hear you managed to find a 280 somewhere
@@ldwp6395 Same, it’s a GK1 with the corvette engine. He’s my exs dad though so he’s happy to watch me squirm whilst he gets peanuts for them. Are you in the UK? If so give me a way to contact you off of here and I can pass on the google street view location for these... from there it would be on you.
I remember well as child, and a big fan of The Dukes of Hazard, driving north on Hwy 5 in California and seeing a car carrier truck packed with police cars and two General Lee's on their way to destruction on set. It was the highlight of the vacation for sure.
I found my 1984 Corvette sitting in a garage that was rotting away in Southeast Louisiana. I had passed by this garage many times and had never seen inside of it, but it just so happened 1 day I pass by and the guy was digging through a toolbox and I saw the court vet under a tarp. It was someone dad is good friends with my mom. But had lost contact. Over the years. I introduced myself and when I said my last name. Yes, me if my parents were. These 2 people and I said yeah, and he was like I went to high school with them. How have they been? I got in contact with my parents. They came and saw him had a nice long chat. And they were wondering why I was over there. And I told them I was interested in the Corvette. I was 23 at the time and mom said you don't need a sports car. Anyway, I asked the guy. How much do you want for the Corvette? My mom to him, don't sell him the car. He needs to focus on being a good mechanic. At that point, the old man said I need some work done to a vehicle that I drive a lot. I'll trade you the corvette for labor. In the end, I swapped out the transmission in his 2002 f350 with parts he supplied and drove home with an '84 vette behind my 93 454SS 1500. Mom was pissed. The old man went for a ride with me after I got the car cleaned up and back together. It had been sitting for 22 years. I still talk to him. I still have the Corvette, and I still have my 93 454SS. Both the vette and the SS don't get driven much anymore as my 2000 f550 is my daily due to toolboxes, air compressor, and crane are imperative to do my job, but they're so mine nonetheless 15 years later. 1987 inspection tag and registration were still in the car which had 12,991miles on it when she rolled off the trailer into my garage.
I love the old guy kicking ass on the race track like back in the day, my grandfather used to race cars on a airstrip that still exists today right after ww2 before he had to stop because he was racing the family car and if he blew up the engine they wouldnt have a car and the city finally stopped it but you dont hear stories like that anymore.
That last story of the Mura is the exact reason I take most stories I hear on Vin Wiki with a grain of salt because hardly any of them have actual facts, I know this from stories that I was personally involved with and then hearing someone else telling it as if they were the ones that experienced it when in fact it was me and or a close friend or business partner!!!
I know the guy who has the Police 1 from Dukes. I bought a car from him 3 years ago. Saw the Police 1 and I have two photos of it. Looks just how it did in the photo on this video. Can’t remember how he got it but it’s so cool.
That dukes #1 story is so conflicting. It was so perfect coming out of the woods. It is beautiful restored but damn not sure he would have done that had he seen that episode when he was a kid. Such a huge moment for the boys. I wonder if he kept the original panels or where they went? Trunk full of concrete? Just seeing that green juxtaposed to the orange in the doors was making me so excited. Whoever bought it should have been told no, it was just too valuable to make it a rebuilt car, so yeah I would vote ruined. It sounds more about it being all about the money and he didn't care which didn't help his case. Then rubbed it in our faces like well if you would have had 400 and been there you could have bought it, but I found it. OOF. Guess he became the boss hog didn't he.
There's a lotus esprit that's been sitting under a tarp for decades in my hometown in massachusetts. I used to drive by it every day on my way to school. I live in Utah now and I'll probably never see it again, and it's probably completely rotted and worthless but I think about that esprit a lot
That General Lee restoration must of cost an arm and a leg. Buying a 69 Charger body and all the restoration work. He was in it for way more than $400. Didn’t he restore it for someone else as well? So they were the ones that took the $110k
I love these stories I just hate how they are uncovered and sold very quickly to rich guys like Jay Leno and Wayne Carini (love them both) and then made into a TV show like people are stupid!!!!

Ah yes a rust free auto cross car, sitting in a barn in the literal rust belt. For $600. And then everyone stood and clapped!
@@tommylucatiel7911 Kansas…. Rust belt… need your head checked?? Believe me or not, who cares. Why comment?

My wife caught me watching Vinwiki at 144 am and thought I was watching something else 😂
It’s 2 am rn and my baby mama just woke up and thought the same thing
Well if you weren't erect she wouldn't have thought that, but I don't blame you 😂
She hears you say "Oh yeah, baby. That's nice..." Then she looks at the screen and it's the first General Lee
this is a late night find❤️❤️❤️
Lol 1.45am for me too
Love to wake up with a new video to watch while eating breakfast!

Wow !!! This show is exceptional, even by your already done, very amazing standards. So glad you do this show. Thank you, Bravo 👏 🙏
When it comes to stories on VIN Wiki I’m reminded of the phrase “Don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see”!
Lmao Travis called Snellville "Snailville"
@vicegripgarage has a whole channel get him on the show
Lol here! They have therapists for barn finders? Those people certainly need guidance!🤣
Very cool! I live within 9 miles of Dawsonville Georgia, city proper. 5 miles from Lumpkin Campground Rd. .
So many barn finds...didn't know so many farmers were into exotic cars!

Where in Massachusetts? I'm in portsmouth nh. Lmk, I'll take a drive.
I love how the one guy describes a movie prop as a "rare Nascar" and a home-built car as a GT-40. Seems to be confusing looks with provenance.
I'm so glad there's another adult male that shares the same love for the Cars movies.
Damn I’ve been sitting on a foxbody I don’t even like all that much for 10 years and this guy sold his dream car in no time for 15k 😂
Do you find these plaid shirts in a barn too ?

Amazing that a car person does not know a Bitter or cannot tell the difference between a Chrysler and a Cadillac.
Fantastic video
Is this a repost of an old video, or did they do a second video on the same story ?
I found a brand new konosake in a barn. 😂

Anyone intrested in a 99 2 door cherokee with 31,220 original miles and every paper from the day it was first purchased?
Is it in a barn?
Can i find it on Autotempest after i leave my Betterhelp appointment?
Nice, i see what cha did there ❤@greggmedina6716
part of "enjoying" the car is working on her. she will let you know what wrong if you listen.
Sup Ed.
Its not a nascar though or a nascar bodied car even if it was either it still wouldn't be the rarest.
