I have a Sophos SG environment with 5 remote sites connected via RED devices ... with the 'sunsetting' of the SG series coming up this new EFG sounds like it might be a very good replacement for the entire WAN, especially considering I already have Cloud Keys, WAP's, G3 Flex's and UniFi switches already at most of those sites.
It is certainly one to be considered. It does not quite yet have all the features I would like to see, but for Routing / VPN and HTTPs content filtering / IDS It is certainly an easy unit to use.
Hi there, super nice content ive been a unifi consumer for the las few years, but right now with all this mayor upgrades that they have done, im in need of some consulting and brainstorming for an specific scenario that i acquired with EOL switches need to be upgraded and a fortinet routing environment. looking foward to replace it all with unifi, so any advice or idea exchange will be very helpful.
I did not run a meter by it and only had one PSU running but I would say it was probably around 60db or so. Certainly can be heard if running on a desk and it gets louder if it gets hotter of course. I hope this helps.
Your 6Gbit speed is definitely lower than expected. This device is capable of routing traffic with 24 Gbit when IPS IDS are disabled. Enen my udm se is faster than 6 Gbit.
