When I listen songs like that I feel so good not only that kind of songs are really nice and sweet but cause it shows musicians don't have to be perfect and virtous
They go into the studio February so expect it by years end. They took a break to work on all of their side projects. There's this, Nikolia has 'Nickle Eye', and Fab has 'Little Joy'. They are all great but I was psyched to hear that The Strokes are back!
i love this. whats hilarious is a was reading an interview of the strokes from a while ago and when the interviewer asked if an of them were planning on doing solo work. albert was like are you kidding me? no way. my solo work would sound exactly like the strokes. he is amazing though!!
I think because Julian wrote all the songs from the beginning... it must have been awfully hard for them to make a record together, equally contributing to it and still keep the Strokes sound. I mean, look at Albert. This is bloody brilliant, but it's so, so different. If they had done it from the start, they would have created a completely different sound, but we'd have never gotten Is This It. It's so confusing!!!!
Imagine The Strokes integrating harmony into their music. Julian and Albert's voices, sounds like a great combination. Nick and Nikolai have great voices as well.
@julyanos Julian Casablancas is The Strokes, he wrote all the songs for the most part. And as for his solo album, it is just different and you were probably expecting something else more stroke-esque, but it is nonetheless attractive
@ladyblo0m I agree and also I think that Angles was a necessary step to keep on with the strokes. I believe (or I want to) that they'll get better (since they all are very talented) but somehow different to what we know as The Strokes.
i think albert has a great talent and really good voice! i dont understand why guys from the strokes didnt want his songs for their album (except jules, he was ok with it) but i´m very happy that albert decided to do his solo
