Pastor Donna, I have watched your Halloween videos for about 4 years now and they always bring me joy. Your inspirational messages on the pumpkins are meaningful and definitely Christian. You don't focus on witches and ghosts and scary things that are often associated with Halloween. Thank you for the history of the three days of Halloween that do focus on Christian traditions. What a sight! That owl was stunningly gorgeous!!...(as is Fritz!😚) P.S. The "Live With Love" row of pumpkins...👍👍👍 And....I so get "world sickness". For me, conflict everywhere weighs on me. Locally and globally. I retreat to my wee cave/abode, pray, rest/recharge, then when led to go back out into the world, I'm humbled by God's presence...(even in the chaos and conflict). May that heaviness you're experiencing be lifted as peace and faith increased.
Thank you for coming to the farm and spending time with me! Yes, that owl was such a God moment. I head my head down on my run/walk as it has been warm and so there have been snakes out in the leaves sunning themselves. But at that moment I lifted my eyes up from the ground, I spotted the owl. It didn't move, even as I got closer. I was able to zoom my camera in on it some more. As I walked away, its head kept turning to watch me. It was beautiful. I just love these little gifts in nature...they are the things that help lift my heavy heart. That and having people like you join me on my crazy journey of trying to live life with love and always seeing God in everything. Blessings to you!!

New Scriber and I connected with your comments, especially "Living with Love". May I please ask you and others not to forget the many people still suffering in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina? There is such healing in nature, especially communing with the gorgeous colors of fall in these mountains. Many have lost their homes, along with everything they possessed. Sadly, some have lost family members. We have been helped so much by the kind and compassionate volunteers from all over the United States who have come here and selflessly asked what they can do to help. Also, please pray for us, as we live in our new "reality" and begin to recover. God bless you.

I lost a family member so love learning about All Souls Day and different holidays. Continue to share your own magic (good), and light.✨️
I never grew up with the tradition of All Saints and All Souls Day...but now that I am older and have learned about its history and their meaning, well, I just find it so comforting. I have always enjoyed Halloween, but now I am enjoying more the rituals of All Saints and find it a great way to usher in a new month by slowing down, remembering and centering ourselves before all the secular Christmas noise begins. Jesus was treated this same way by people, and is still being treated this way by many today, where people have turned against Him. I pray their eyes will be opened. Thank you for this beautiful video. I am new to your channel and am so glad to discover it. I have subscribed. These three days have always meant a great deal to me even as a child. What child does not love dressing up for Halloween and going door to door for treats. But even in childhood I knew there was more to these days than that. I was fortunate to be raised in a tradition that observed All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Now that I have become an elder orphan I think I appreciate these days even more. While I am always aware of the thin line that separates this world from the other and while I always feel the presence of my family who are no longer part of this earthly world I feel them closer than ever at this time of the year. And this brings me comfort, joy and peace.
What a blessing to have you part of the Old Stone Well Farm family, where you are not an "elder orphan" but one of many! :) And what a blessing that you grew up with the Hallowtide tradition. While I was familiar with All Saints Day, I didn't grow up with observing these days. But was I get older, I am embracing them as I, too, find such comfort and joy remembering that thin space between this world and the other. We are never alone. The village received many trick or treaters and so I wondered what could we do for Halloween that wasn't scary. That's when I thought about the pumpkin message. It's true. There's a bad spirit bringing people down. A feeling of hopelessness seeks to grab whoever will allow it to fill their minds. Let us turn our hearts and thoughts to the Great Creator in whom there is all hope and cling closely to the hem of HIS garment. That is where all of our thoughts will be in love and righteousness... Refuse the downer spirit that's so thick out there! Love Him ! Praise HIM ! HE alone is worthy to be praised because He died for us! Hi I really love your video and channel. Are you an Episcopalian minister? I am a Catholic and this reminds me of my church too. Tomorrow is All Saints Day Mass. My daughter is a Catholic teacher and she cant wait to see the kids come in their Saint costumes. I am sorry that people do not understand and deleted you. I love everything you said. There was a moment in my seminary days where I entertained the thought of becoming an Episcopalian priest. Rather, I was ordained 17 years ago as a Presbyterian...after spending many years as a New York City editor/reporter in the fashion industry. God's ways are mysterious, but always wonderful. It’s just that there’s so much hate and nobody loves when people love they’ve always got to express them selves with hate and that’s very sad. The pumpkin prayer walk was beautiful. Some Christian holidays are pagan origin, so if Jesus is ok with using these holidays to teach, we should be too. You gained a subscriber with me. Jesus lost followers too when he spoke cuz they didn't like what he said, pretty sure it was when he said they would drink his blood and eat his body, when talking of communion, so you're in good company. I’ve been sick with “world sickness” for about 2 years now. Seems like it’s getting worse. This year I stopped decorating my 1757 home for holidays - and Christmas is usually my favorite time of the winter. Last year I forced myself to decorate colonial style. This year, I’ve done nothing. I just don’t feel it. I do know Jesus wasn’t born in December. Feels like there is a lot of lying going around. So December just doesn’t feel right for Christmas - because as a farmer of baby animals, you see most livestock/animals being born in Spring. So when you know - you know. I too, hope this passes. Because it gets depressing.
I can relate to not decorating. Last year, I didn't decorate like I often do, just wasn't feeling it nor did I have the time. I have come to realize it's okay to embrace where you are in life and that there are no rules for what has to be done in terms of holiday celebrations. For everything there is a season....holding you in my prayers. May the light of Christ shine abundantly on your path! Blessings!
Its not demonizing others to speak truth.God's Word is truth.His Word says not to conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.Romans 12:2. Urging Christians not to copy the behavior or customs of this world.

New Scriber and I connected with your comments, especially "Living with Love". May I please ask you and others not to forget the many people still suffering in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina? There is such healing in nature, especially communing with the gorgeous colors of fall in these mountains. Many have lost their homes, along with everything they possessed. Sadly, some have lost family members. We have been helped so much by the kind and compassionate volunteers from all over the United States who have come here and selflessly asked what they can do to help. Also, please pray for us, as we live in our new "reality" and begin to recover. God bless you.

Good morning and I love your positive messages, devotionals and scenery of beautiful mountains and Fritz. I am a Christian and we celebrated growing up the fun and joy of Halloween. I lost a family member so love learning about All Souls Day and different holidays. Continue to share your own magic (good), and light.✨️
I never grew up with the tradition of All Saints and All Souls Day...but now that I am older and have learned about its history and their meaning, well, I just find it so comforting. I have always enjoyed Halloween, but now I am enjoying more the rituals of All Saints and find it a great way to usher in a new month by slowing down, remembering and centering ourselves before all the secular Christmas noise begins. Pastor Donna, We love and appreciate you and the ministry God has placed you in. I feel so bad for the people that unsubscribed because of their lack of truly understanding. This is a terrible loss for them. There was such a meaningful and powerful message in your pumpkin prayer walk. Jesus was treated this same way by people, and is still being treated this way by many today, where people have turned against Him. I pray their eyes will be opened. Please keep doing exactly what you are doing. You are right in God's will for your life. What a blessing you are!!! It's a true walk with God, when a person can say they want God's will for their life. God, I want Your will and plan...not mine. This is exactly who you are Pastor Donna!! Thank you again!! Thank you for this beautiful video. I am new to your channel and am so glad to discover it. I have subscribed. These three days have always meant a great deal to me even as a child. What child does not love dressing up for Halloween and going door to door for treats. But even in childhood I knew there was more to these days than that. I was fortunate to be raised in a tradition that observed All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Now that I have become an elder orphan I think I appreciate these days even more. While I am always aware of the thin line that separates this world from the other and while I always feel the presence of my family who are no longer part of this earthly world I feel them closer than ever at this time of the year. And this brings me comfort, joy and peace.
What a blessing to have you part of the Old Stone Well Farm family, where you are not an "elder orphan" but one of many! :) And what a blessing that you grew up with the Hallowtide tradition. While I was familiar with All Saints Day, I didn't grow up with observing these days. But was I get older, I am embracing them as I, too, find such comfort and joy remembering that thin space between this world and the other. We are never alone. That great cloud of witnesses is always close by. Sending you hugs and blessings.
All Hallows Tide is my favorite holy time of the year which extends through November for me. Thanksgiving: 2nd favorite.

It seems everyone, no matter where they live, is feeling the heaviness. My father's family is all in Switzerland and even there they are not immuned to it. I am so glad you enjoyed it. Yes, it did allow the negativity to take hold. Perhaps I was tired, stressed...just not feeling 100%. That's often when little stones in our shoes bother us the most. Here in UK, we always carved swedes...the smell was lovely. My wrists didn't want to carve one this year!
I love hearing from viewers from the UK! It always makes me smile. And I was smiling too as my writes as well just didn't want to carve pumpkins this year. I was feeling it. I think what hurts the most is the scooping out of the insides. The insides of my pumpkins are never really clean. I always give up and let some seeds and gooey pumpkin mush remain. Blessings to you!

The village received many trick or treaters and so I wondered what could we do for Halloween that wasn't scary. That's when I thought about the pumpkin message. It's true. There's a bad spirit bringing people down. A feeling of hopelessness seeks to grab whoever will allow it to fill their minds. Let us turn our hearts and thoughts to the Great Creator in whom there is all hope and cling closely to the hem of HIS garment. That is where all of our thoughts will be in love and righteousness... Refuse the downer spirit that's so thick out there! Love Him ! Praise HIM ! HE alone is worthy to be praised because He died for us! Hi I really love your video and channel. Are you an Episcopalian minister? I am a Catholic and this reminds me of my church too. Tomorrow is All Saints Day Mass. My daughter is a Catholic teacher and she cant wait to see the kids come in their Saint costumes. I am sorry that people do not understand and deleted you. I love everything you said. It is passion of mine and I thank God for this opportunity He has given me to share my life and rambling thoughts - and faith - with others. There was a moment in my seminary days where I entertained the thought of becoming an Episcopalian priest. Rather, I was ordained 17 years ago as a Presbyterian...after spending many years as a New York City editor/reporter in the fashion industry. God's ways are mysterious, but always wonderful. Don’t worry about what people think because the way you express yourself and believe has nothing to do with religion. It’s just that there’s so much hate and nobody loves when people love they’ve always got to express them selves with hate and that’s very sad. You’re right this world is going through a lot and wish people would love. I said I hate one another.

The pumpkin prayer walk was beautiful. Some Christian holidays are pagan origin, so if Jesus is ok with using these holidays to teach, we should be too. You gained a subscriber with me. Jesus lost followers too when he spoke cuz they didn't like what he said, pretty sure it was when he said they would drink his blood and eat his body, when talking of communion, so you're in good company. Shows you're following in his footsteps. Be you. God loves you.

I’ve been sick with “world sickness” for about 2 years now. Seems like it’s getting worse. This year I stopped decorating my 1757 home for holidays - and Christmas is usually my favorite time of the winter. Last year I forced myself to decorate colonial style. This year, I’ve done nothing. I just don’t feel it. I do know Jesus wasn’t born in December. Feels like there is a lot of lying going around. So December just doesn’t feel right for Christmas - because as a farmer of baby animals, you see most livestock/animals being born in Spring. So when you know - you know. I too, hope this passes. Because it gets depressing.
I can relate to not decorating. Last year, I didn't decorate like I often do, just wasn't feeling it nor did I have the time. I have come to realize it's okay to embrace where you are in life and that there are no rules for what has to be done in terms of holiday celebrations. For everything there is a season....holding you in my prayers. May the light of Christ shine abundantly on your path! Blessings!
Its not demonizing others to speak truth.God's Word is truth.His Word says not to conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.Romans 12:2. Urging Christians not to copy the behavior or customs of this world.

It was a way of telling the story of Christ in a way that nonbelievers could understand. Jesus even taught like that, using the imagery and symbols of everyday things around him in the telling of his parables. I am so glad you came to the farm and joined me. Many blessings to you!
I prefer to leave the church controversies and follow Nature and the pagan celebrations…each to her own…just follow “ do no harm”.
