  • Lavender Falls is a privately owned waterfall on a $10,000,000 piece of country property in rural Ontario, Canada. It is the largest privately owned waterfall in Ontario
I took a massive chance here by driving all the way there in hopes that I could speak to the owner, or someone who could grant me permission to visit the waterfall and thank Baby Jesus they said yes.
For this one, I fully expected them to say no to me given the issues they have had in the past with unruly visitors leaving junk and beer bottles behind, vandals and even a man falling to his death, drunk, from the top of the waterfall.
I had no intention of trespassing on this visit and I strongly advise against it as the wonderful couple who live here have dealt with enough problems and they always contact the OPP when they see that there is someone attempting to access the property. It's not only the owners but the area residents too will call the police when they suspect there are trespassers.
The individual who I spoke with told me where to park, gave me some instructions to avoid any tickets or issues with police and neighbours and that the rest was up to me to figure out!
What an adventure this was, see the photo gallery here and enjoy the video

I've been here a few times back in the early 80's . We used to jump off the top and had owners permission. Those were the days we had 20+ people there jumping off and having fun

I have so many questions. If it was difficult for you to get to, how do the trespassers get to it w/beer etc? What’s in the bottom of the pool? Is it deep? Why is it called Lavendar falls? Why didn’t you follow the Bruce Trail markings?

Wow, this is a really beautiful waterfall. I suppose the owners don't make it easy to access because they don't want even more problems but if this was my land, I'd want to visit it so much. Thank you for the chance to see it.

Yep, this is a beauty alright. Golly though, that was one heck of a hike to get to it! Thanks for making the trek and sharing it with all of us!

Another beautiful fall. I admire your stamina on these long treks. You always show respect for the environment no matter if it is the falls you are exploring or an abandoned dwelling. Hope you had energy bars and a drink after that long hike!

Dave, don't you wish you could have walked that fast the way in and out? Love it when you speed up!
I agree with you, it is one of the best waterfalls yet! Can't wait for more! Watching from Oxford Alabama ,where it is a warm 60 in day time!

really enjoyed the video. I like these bushwhack waterfalls where you are alone with the waterfall. Only problem I had with the movie was that the quality of the photos came out pretty bad on youtube, probably due to the compression.

I think where I got lucky was the guy I talked to, he was the neighbour of the actual owners!!! He told me he would let them know that he let me go in

A little bit of exaggeration there :) The falls is right on the boundary of provincially owned Noisey River Outdoor Education Centre. All you have to do is walk a couple hundred meters along the boundary of Provincial park and the falls is on the other side of the fence on private property.

It's still on private property dosen't matter how close to the park it is, it's still private property and you should ask the owners befor you go walking around their property.
