I really like your new talking style. You're more personable and fun. Your hands move around a lot less making it easier to watch you. Cute quips !
Thanks for the insight 😃 We appreciate it!
-Eric
Agreed! More laid back and less robotic.
@@Summermute7 i like the robot 🥲
You really improved your presentation style, less teleprompter and more informal and conversational. Sounds great 👍🏼
Thanks for the positivity, Georg 😃
-Eric
I don't usually comment, but thought I'd say I'm loving the new presentation style!
Thanks for sharing your insights, Giovanni! 😃
-Eric
Love the new presentation, no more screaming lol! Sometimes I quit watching your video’s when my ears are starting to hurt. They definitely didn’t hurt watching this video!
literally just binged this series…now i want all the gear 😅
Let us know what you end up getting 😃
-Eric
Try the Anker 511 Nano Pro 20 watts charger it is small and compact perfect for travel.Along with the Anker 641 power line III flow cables they work perfectly. They even have matching colors
Thanks for sharing, Mohammad 😃 I’ll pass it along!
-Eric
No Problem Eric Happy you noticed it 😃
I'll join the positive feedbacks for the new presentation style 😊 Great list as always, my favorite series
Thanks for sharing your insight 😃 We’ll see you in the next one!
-Eric
You seem a lot more relaxed and natural here. 👍🏻
The S Biner is a must.
🤙🤙🤙
We've never been more ready to travel with some of these cool suggestions!
We’re right there with you! 😃 Where are we going first?
-Eric
These are incredibly helpful tips
Thanks for checking it out 😃
-Eric
My current favorite is the Travelon anti-theft packable backpack. I think it may have been featured on PH where I saw it first. It is a lightweight and portable option that can hold a decent amount of stuff and keep it all relatively organized. I was easily able to pack for a weekend with a toiletry bag and use it as a day pack while out exploring. I was able to pack three pool towels, clutch wallet, and a bunch of small items inside. The side mesh pouches held items in place as we we went on a 45 min moderate hike in 95 degrees and the straps were still comfortable. For longer hikes I'll use my padded strap covers. And when I didn't have is stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey the front zip pocket was great to hold quick grab items to keep me organized. This will be my daypack for all the typical functional features but also the security features of the slash-protect panels, RFID pocket and zipper locks. Overall I'd give this an 9.75 out of 10 for being reasonably priced, performing as promised and fitting most of my general day trips with .25 off for where the strap adjusters rub on my arms.
Thanks for all this fantastic insight 😃 We love hearing how folks use gear, and you’ve given us a ton of valuable information!
-Eric
Not going anywhere but Still Fascinating..lol
It’s good to be prepared for when you do! 😃
-Eric
Great video - I noticed a different tone in the video... its nice and a little more conversational. For those of us who prefer a "dangle free experience" I never understand the use of S hooks so much. I do love the tiny locking ones however for securing small items inside my pack. I too had the same thoughts on the boxy-sharp edged Nitecore powerbank. Instead I use the Crave Plus aluminum slim power bank (10K) and it has been pretty wonderful... so much lighter than Anker and thin as a phone. You are really making me think I need to give that crystal deodorant a try though! Its a hard thought getting away from Welleda Pomegranite roll-on. It smells amazing, despite it being a liquid form.
Thanks for noticing, Brandon! 😃 Thank you for the detailed insights, too. So much gear, so little time!
-Eric
Lots of great recommendations. I am really liking the crystal deodorant. It’s surprising how well it works! Do you know what shoes and bag those are in the S-Biner section (at 6:11)? They’re both cool looking.
Off topic but what brand shirt is the host wearing? It looks great!
I remember the Clutch Charger being discussed in a video and I was like NU10000 for a real trip.
Great foreshadowing 😃
-Eric
Hope all is well Tom, you seem off in this video, sending good vibes!
All is well! We're trying a new conversational video style - curious to hear what folks think 🤔😊
@@twahlinph gotcha! Thanks for letting me know!
There's a V2 of that nitecore that improves the charging lights.
Love those nite-ize carabiners for carrying gloves. I can clip them to my belt loop when I'm not using them and it's way more sturdy than the crappy clip that comes with most gloves too.
The tip about the carabiner is excellent! That’s definitely a better option than the little clip.
-Eric
The Aer travel kit looks great, but I prefer the Gravel (original size) which integrates a removable TSA liquids pouch.
Are there any other features on the Gravel that you dig? 🧐
-Eric
Yup. I like the Gravel over the Aer as well.
Big fan of the new CAS2 sling by Evergoods. If you're ok with carrying your water this could easily replace a day pack for travel and serve as a pouch on the go in airports. The fit and function are amazing and the back panel that breathes is world class.
Thanks for the insights, Joshua! Have you used it at the airport like that before? 🧐
-Eric
@@PackHacker I have, its fantastic. Empty it fits in the front of the CTB35 horizontal pocket. I usually just strap it to my backpack going through security then put it back on as sling mode with my backpack. The buckle doesn't bother me even though its in the center. I don't even notice it
Thanks for sharing! It sounds like a good system 😃
-Eric
Great vid! What brand of beach chair is featured at 9:30? It looks comfy :)
Those crystal deodorants are potassium alum, which are also a great aftershave which also sterilized post shave. I use one prior to my balm. By its nature it is anti bacterial so you can use the same one on pits and face.
Thanks for the insights! 😃
-Eric
yes, it is also styptic, means if you cut yourself during shaving you can use it to stop the bleeding ...
(... and it works also on other cuts, of course)
But it is not aluminium free! Potasium alum is an aluminium salt, so if you are looking for an aluminium free deodorant, this is not for you.
and for obvius reasons I would not use it on a cut or on irritated skin (like after shaving your armpits)
I will second the Nitecore NB10000. Sometimes I forget to charge my phone so I’ll just take it with me as it is so light and easily fits into my pocket. I wish the charging indicator was easier to read, but overall it’s a huge win.
Thanks for the insights 😃 Do you think you’ll upgrade to the second version?
-Eric
@@PackHacker hmm…I don’t think so. I like the changes to the readout, and it seems to have slightly better USBC output, not a fan of the yellow borders around the ports but I see how they could be useful in the dark…
Seems like a great buy if you don’t already have one, but because the charging speeds are still pretty similar and the weight/dimensions are identical, I can’t really justify spending 60 bucks on an upgrade to the gen 2.
But if I need a second battery bank, I will obviously pick one up :)
Thanks for those detailed insights! 😃 We agree-not worth a direct upgrade unless something happens to the old one!
-Eric
@@PackHacker good to know. thanks for your replies, it is great to chat about products after watching the video!
We’re always down for some gear talk! 😃
-Eric
Does anyone know the airplane-bottleopener is called and where I can order this, looks amazing! :)
yes that nitecore powerbank is a true piece of cutting edge technology and might leave a remarkable impression (or two) on you if you keep it in your pants' pocket whiles trying to sit down ... but that said, I wish you would have shown the Nitecore Tini 2 Ti in that sequence one second or two longer, I definitely love to see that thing ... 😁
We love sharing it, too 😂 Thanks for watching!
-Eric
About the low current mode of power banks: that’s not so much to protect those devices. At least I don’t think so, because the power bank can’t actually “send” too much current to the device. Given a voltage (and USB is normally 5V) the current draw is determined by the device that is being charged. A higher resistance results a smaller current, and vice versa.
What the low power mode is for, is it disables the power bank from automatically shutting down if the current draw is so low that it “thinks” it’s not charging anything. So if you are trying to charge something, but your power bank shuts down before it’s fully charged, then it can help.
I suppose I should also mention we can be nerdy like this on Pack Hacker Pro. ;)
Thanks for sharing, Peter! As you know, we have an entire topic going on in Pro about battery banks 😃 Nerd out!
-Eric
I wish the Bellroy Sling camera version had removeable dividers, was available in more colours, a few more internal pockets, and a back zipper pocket.
Thanks for sharing your insight 😃 Are those a deal breaker for you?
-Eric
Please review LTT backpack! would love to hear your thoughts
Thanks for the suggestion 😃 I’ll pass it along!
-Eric
Review the Black Ember Dex please!
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along 😃
-Eric
How are the straps on the Trakke backpack? Do you find it pulls away from the back? Thin? I walk all day, comfort is key. …Huge fan of Bairn crossbody and Largo sling - both with Cobra buckles (despite the fact I thought the sling would be too big for my short height and torso, it molds to your body). Never ventured into their backpacks.
Check out the full review for detailed insights! 😃 packhacker.com/travel-gear/trakke/wester-roll-top-backpack/
-Eric
i wish they made mini sizes natural deos! on my last trip i cut a chunk off and wrapped it in silver foil lol
How did that go? 😂 Not a bad idea!
-Eric
What comb was that in the AER Travel Kit 2? It’s at 9 minutes?
Can you do an episode with noise cancelling headphones
Can the 6l belroy fit a 11 inch tablet?
Curious about the adjustment from anti-perspirant to crystal.
It takes some getting used to, but we dig it! 😃
-Eric
Does the steam deck fit in that sling? 🤣
make video of: Adhesive Laptop Back Storage Bag
Check out the Anker Powercore 10,000 portable charger. It's by far a smaller more cost effective (got my last one for 16.99) option. Amazon's current regular price is 25.99, but it goes on sale often.
Powercore 10,000 is good, but the use of USB-A and micro USB make it undesirable (for me). Since I've managed to completely switch over to only USB-C charging and hate to have additional cords or converters, I've instead opted for the Powercore 10,000 PD Redux. You're getting the same thing, but it accommodates USB-C cables.
What do you do with all that juice? We have a lot of Anker products on hand-we find that they’re typically quality at a low price point with good customer service.
-Eric
@@matthewzittritsch3042 Not only that. Micro USB means there is no fast charging the power bank itself, not mentioning your devices. So old tech by today's standard
You guys should really show the Nitecore NB10000 Gen 2 next time. Has a different charge indicator setup.
Thanks for the insight! We’re amped to get our hands on it 😃
-Eric
Looks like it can do 20W on USB-C instead of 18W from Gen 1. I'm not sure that's worth it for me to upgrade.
I don't get the carbon fiber powerbank shell
most of the weight in the powerbank comes from the power cells, not from the shell
The NU10000 is popular in the backpacking world where you weigh everything. IIRC it is 2oz lighter than my Anker 10k MAH charger.
Anyone tried to stick a Steam Deck into the Bellroy Venture 6L?
Have you guys seen the black ember DEX series??
If so, what are your thoughts??
It’s on our radar, but no review yet! 😃 Thanks for sharing.
-Eric
@@PackHacker I can’t wait to get mine! Looks so nice!
Anybody else want to know what were those shoes hanging off the bag @6:08 ?
Not sure which but that definitely looks like the Tropicfeel symbol.
4:35 - Is "literage" a word??? 🤔
Can you review the Linus tech tips backpack?
Thanks for the suggestion; I’ll pass it along! 😃
-Eric
i have too many bags to carry my Nintendo
You can never have too many 😃
-Eric
I like your previous talking style because this one sounds like you're tired... But as long as you're well, it's all good!
That guy is sooooo Hot! Nice products suggestions, too. Great video
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
I'm not sure I like the new style of conversation and I don't even know why 🙈. Still great content though.
Thanks for sharing your insights, Tanya! 😃

@@PackHacker im sorrrrrry :( i do love the channel regardless hehe
You sound like have no energy. I like your old one.
I like the previous talking style. This one is to flat, almost boring...
