I wanted to hear the pager go off in the restaurant letting everybody know that the restroom was ready. And then you could've had the whole restaurant in on the joke & then stop eating & quietly stare at the person as they got up to go to the restroom.
I'm glad he let the man with the water pill through fast, My darling husband used to be on those & it is embarrassing having to rush for a bathroom wherever you are
I live on Staton and Ludlow, a half a block from Katz. I would know immediately it was a prank because the Men's Room at Katz is H U G E. In my 40 years of going there, there has never been a line.
I seem to recall the late actor Charles Grodin worked for this show for a couple stints and I saw an interview where he said he quit when they wanted him to go to an airport and shutdown the bathroom as part of a prank since messing with people going to the bathroom crossed his decency line too, I looked it up and I was right he was fired 3 times from the 60s version of the show. I agree with him on that.
Today I would let them download a smartphone app first instead of giving them a pager. The app will then receive the notifications when the toilet is available.
I keep thinking those TikTok & YT "pranksters" ought to be made to sit down and watch nothing but Candid Camera for a week. Maybe that would be enough for them to learn the difference between a prank and harassment....though it looks like at least one of them is going to end up learning discipline the Japanese way.
I hhad to go to the hospital, they gavee a book of papers to fill out along w/a pager. I got my name on the 1st paper & my pager went off. I guess that was all the time they needed to check my insurance
Every time I see a clip of NYC right before 911, especially with firefighters featured, my heart breaks thinking how these folks didn’t know what was to come. Times were so innoncent back then. Those terrorists ruined the innocence of our country and world
oh ! candid camera blunder! i noted when man in blue came in that he wore a water bag! how embarrassing for him, and worst when/ IF they reveal to him that he's on CANDID CAMERA! not all concepts for jokes are NOT clever!
🤣❤ _Imagine applying for a restaurant position and getting hired as the _*_restroom pager attendant_*
That paging terminal with all those buttons looks high-tech. I don't think I could handle it.
Or, imagine desperately needing to go and needing to wait for a beep? I think they took care of that.😂😂😂
He should say......."This is for your convenience"

I'm still waiting for a network to be page to bring back Candid Camera 😂
Hope the last guy still tipped the servers.
Clearly, his game is to never tip, and always have some kind of 'reason' why.
Great concept - but I wanted to see hear the pager go off and look at people’s reactions!😂
That jerk at the end though!
Sad that Dick is gone - he was hysterical, especially when the snails were crossing the street - the funniest.

this is kinda funny but I don't like to be messed with when I have to go
