Mitja exceptional, as always. Who's the shoeless guy on the right? Inadmissible during a performance of an international competition.

Asian custom. No shoes indoors. Pianist gets an exemption in order to operate the pedals.

He tries too much. Let the music flow. The piano needs better voicing. The tone is too sharp.

I'm gonna go ahead and wager that the piano is probably a crap (subjective 3/10) that most pianists would struggle to make sound worthy of performances like this (4/10), and he's doing a pretty great job making it sound passable (7/10) at the sacrifice of being free to have his way with the music. So more to do with the piano than the pianist, but good experience playing in a challenging space nevertheless.
