i'd say it's the present/past/future. hip-hop has always been like this. people tend to get misguided by that massive "music" industry who force you to hear that hip-Pop music or whatnot (you know who I mean). therefore, peoples ideas of hip-hop music are greatly distorted. every whining jerk-off with 'gold' teeth and an IQ of 58, whos lyrics only consist of words like "bitch", "ass", "and", "motherfucker", "money" are not to be considered hip-hop artists nor rappers.I urge you to youtube - lil wayne mos def freestyle or simply (watch?v=WuL8kOHYKXs). just my 2 cents here.
