Moving Roman: Propulsion

  • Many space telescopes, including NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, require fuel to move. Propellant is, however, a finite resource. Watch how the NASA team carefully installs this mission-limiting resource into the telescope’s spacecraft bus.

    Nice video but it would’ve been more informative if you said what type of fuel it uses and how much it carries.

      Los principales propelentes utilizados en cohetes y satélites son la hidracina, que es el combustible, y el tetróxido de nitrógeno, la sustancia que provoca la reacción de ignición. Estas sustancias ofrecen buen desempeño en propulsores, pero tienen sus desventajas.

    Just wondering if there is a port that's available that could potentially be used for refuel? With how quickly we're entering this new space age, wouldn't be smart to include? With Starship coming online, I would think something like this would be a great demonstration of its capabilities.

      @@wayneharrison They have already planned a minimum of 4 more launches this year alone. In 2026 there will a launch every week
