I know a bloke who worked on Hawkins for Hill End Gold. He reckons they blasted a face, and mucked out a few tonnes of extremely rich ore. This ore was stacked outside the mine at shifts end. The next day he returned after lunch to start his shift, only to find the morning shift had pushed this stone over the edge, thinking it was waste rock.
