If you're interested in some country songs, I recommend these five. Except for "Redneck Woman," which is a fast honky-tonk song, the rest have a slow to mid tempo. 1. "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton (1973) ... Dolly wrote and sang the original version, and Whitney Houston covered it in 1992. 2. "How Do I Live (Without You)?" by LeeAnn Rimes (1997). 3. "Annie's Song" by John Denver (1974) 4. "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John (1974) 5. "Redneck Woman" by Gretchen Wilson (2004)

Please more Céline Dion reactions!!
A lot of people agree that Whitney version of the star spangled banner is the best. Definitely should react.
Celine Dion will always be the best. Still running after 40 years of uneding tours, records, others. Incomparable. An Inspiration, unique, and her voice, OMG IT is still super duper strong at present just like her career.😇💪👌👏 -Love from the Philippines!!!

Mariah was thee number 1 through out the 90's. Artist of the decade in the bag 😂😜 no 1 had that. Number 1 songs for each year.
Actually Selena outsold her with Selena’s dreaming of you album beating her record with selling 300,000 albums in one week :). Making her the best selling female artist of the 90s just with that one album. Yes death makes celebrities a little more famous but Selena was already successful with her amor prohibido album . Selena was also the first female to have 4 number ones on the billboard charts at the same time (when she was alive) Selena should’ve been #1 at this list :).
@@lani746 Mariah was the artist of the 90's. She earned it she worked her ass off. Selena catered to her people and only started making English songs afterwards. Mariah was already dominating. The world, not only in the USA. Selena was a star within her community. Only after the movie came out people got to hear about her cos of her death she became a known name world wide. Cos I never heard about her, until JLO played her. Selena could not be on top this list, cos we didn't listen to her music, cos she was unknown to us. Dreaming of you tonight is the only song we know of hers. Her Latin music made her famous within her community, not to other countries, cos the American singers were more popular. And Miss Mariah earned her spot at nr 1. So your argument here is irrelevant.

Sad that you think that way because me and my mom went to one of her concerts with a crowd of 600,000 people at fiesta Broadway and the crowd was pretty diverse and they all came to see selena . That was 1992 way before she died. She was and is still a legend. Don't get me wrong she was the first artist I've got exposed to in English songs which I still loved! Then I found Mariah in 2005 and she changed my whole world! I wish Celine had ventured into R&B or something because she definitely still has the talent to do but her catalogue until now is bland and that's a fact!

Regarding the country - try some Dolly Parton. "Jolene" is a great song...and she wrote "I Will Always Love You" and released it twice (70s and 80s) before Whitney remade it and blew the roof off the song. Dolly's version is on RUclips, as well.
Love dolly but they’re not going to like dolly. I think they’ll like the new country sound. Like Kane brown and Luke combs. I strongly dislike the old country sound(minus dolly) but I love new country sound.
@@carriel9954 Makes sense, for sure. Jolene just has a funk to it that a lot of country didn't at the time. People just don't know how influential she is - especially as writer of "I Will Always Love You" and "Jolene" is the most covered song. I grew up in Nashville hating country until I found her. But I agree, there have been more and more collabs and crossovers like Florida Georgia Line and Nelly, Billy Ray and Lil Nas X, etc that would be more recognizable and palatable, for sure. Good points! :)
Having the biggest music career from the 80 into the 90s, with the most number 1 songs at the time and biggest selling female of all time and a hit movie career that made her a Alist actress in Hollywood with three blockbuster movies and a block buster TV remake of Cinderella , let's not forget the biggest song ever from that decade and on, Whitney was the most Iconic female of the 90s no matter how you look at it, what other woman on this list can say she was the top paid actress in holllywood and in music, none!
