No question about Sellers being excellent at pulling off accents, as a matter of fact a fair amount of his career has revolved around that outstanding skill. What I find extremely annoying though, is the portrayal of the mobster-looking Italian which Hollywood seems to like so much and has in fact overused through the years. Sellers' Italian dude here could well be straight out of Good Fellas or the Soprano series.

I saw the ad that was made at 2.20. It was made in Grangegorman Psychiatric Hospital in Dublin Ireland, my late father was a nurse there. I was about 11. Peter Sellers stood and looked at myself & some other kids as we ate from the catering van, didn't look to pleased with us, but there you go.
Great story, as a Teamster who works in the film industry and who was once chewed out by a Disney producer for bringing a crew of stagehands to the catering truck when we were supposed to be working at another location I can imagine the scene!

His last public appearance was at Cannes in May 1980 a week or so after the Barclays adverts. Apparently riding the bike in the 3rd ad made his heart play up and he was rushed to hospital and never made the 4th Barclays ad. The Cannes appearance is also on you tube.
Teri Garr...I found you. Ned Wynn wrote about Teri in his autobio about him being raised by Keenen Wynn, having Ed Wynn as his grandfather, and dabbling in the center of every scene in the sixties and seventies.
