It's amazing how some of those trees explode as soon as they hit the ground So I as a good feeling when they come down
I was thinking the same thing. Cool to see on video!
I imagine the reaction of the driver who passed just when the last tree started to move before falling 😨
I was thinking the same thing! I probably should have shut the road down ... but it worked out :)
@@metaspencer There’s no doubt you know what you’re doing :)
Those ash were toast. At least you didn’t have to clean up their leaves.
Exactly. Completely toasted.
Emerald ash bore is wiping out the ash trees in the northeast. I grew up around massive elms and remember how that blight killed them off
You've got it ... so many dead ones along the finger lakes it's crazy. Everyone has dead ones
That was some heavy looking tree trunks, good work man.
Dang solid stuff. Omph! :)
WORKIN’ MAN.
That's what I'm talking about. Nothing beats a good day of work in the fresh air.
I never thought I would ever enjoy tree cutting videos, but I always do. Thanks Great job!!!
Great to hear! Yeah, something kinda mesmerizing about it all
Another Spencer production’s thriller! Keep them coming and stay safe. Thx.
Thanks for the encouragement!
I mean...I was kinda mad when the dogs woke me up at 1 am to go out...but there's a Spencer video notification...so I mean...it ain't all bad...
Those dogs! Yeah, ours started to howl at some coyotes in the field last night. I got to wondering "Why are these darned dogs inside our house?" :)
@@metaspencer I told my wife they were gonna be outside dogs when we got them...I was reminded I don't wear the proverbial pants in the relationship...
@@williamrehberg2546 Funny! You and me both
from the Netherlands thanks for the video Spancer

@@metaspencer Yep i am binge watching all your videos lol. keep up the good work buddy.
Gooood morning Spencer! Those were some BIG logs they hurt my back!! Great watching you working away! God bless you!

Excelllllllent

James Bond! Good stuff and never gets old
Good 👨🔧
Thanks!
Wicked vid brother!
Thanks buddy!
Love all ur video's brother
Great to hear! Thanks for the encouragement
"You want to avoid dropping a tree onto another (fallen) tree. It's messy. So I think I'll drop that one over there onto these over here." (Spencer's Law of Felling?)
You nailed that one right, on, the, head.
I'm just starting out with my own business and I feel your pain when bidding jobs. Sometimes I think, what the heck was I thinking! Do you ever give bidding advice?
Oh yeah, a tough process. My best advice is to know how much you need to bring in a day and estimate how many days it'll take to complete the job. It's a rough method but tends to work out for me overall. I have a very long sheet of variables I drew up a while back I'd be happy to send you. My email is metaspencer at gmail
The Dingo flow would have worked realllllllllly well there my friend..😫😫
Oh so true! Dealer won't call me back ... story of my life. And I think I have enough saved for one (or half of one)
Thanks for the vid Spence! If you don't mind, what pants are those that you're wearing there???
I think you're talking about these ... here's the number on Amz B08FT16SNK
@@metaspencer Yeah, that's them... thanks!
I gotta know where you got that whiz-bang climbing harness shown at 11:45! :)
Good eyes! That's my invisi-harness, great for free climbing just about anything :)
The avoiding trees laying on top of trees comment, feels a smidgeon on the side of "how to". 😂
haha ... ya got me! :)
I have some fairly small pines to cut down. I’ve never used a power saw. I use an ax and a hand saw. I’m getting tired of the manual approach. But I’m nervous about getting injured with power equipment. Is there a middle ground? Is a saw saw easier/safer for a novice?
Great question. I tend to suggest a good sharp hand saw unless you're really comfortable with a chain saw. Chain saws are just so, so dangerous. Once you get your notch in place with the hand saw, a simple back cut can get that pine down. Maybe you've tried a bow saw? A good one can cut very fast. Good luck with it!
Thanks!!!
You know in Forest Gump, he says life is like a box of chocolates? Well we could say decisions are like five ash trees, some decisions are dead and not worth pursuing, some decisions need carefully ending not entangling them in other decisions and some decisions need a tree surgeon to sort out.
Ok appalling analogy but thanks for the video.
Funny! No appalling at all ... I kinda like it
What type of rope do you prefer nylon vs polyester or other? Thanks
I'm kind of a cheapo when it comes to rope ... but for my lifelines that I really rely on I buy good quality 16-strand climbing ropes. I tend to prefer static lines but have some with give ... as for nylon vs poly I haven't paid much attention to materials I guess but I prefer a good soft rope with a tight bend radius
Ok was that a health muffin in the beginning, I know u eat like a Saint, it's must be gluten free muffin, say it isn't so, Spencer
Almond flour she tells me! some coconut oil and maple syrup she tells me!
@@metaspencer I new it would be healthy,
impressive. thank you!
Thanks man!
Three videos in one week. Awesome !!!
I guess we've been busy around here! Thanks for noticing
Your ground crew are the hardest working batch of clones I've ever seen!
And they never complain! :)
It’s been said that with every good tree man there’s a good ground crew. Spencer’s living proof of that.
