      CK Magic for me, I think the business side of things are boring but necessary! This seems like a great tool if someone's looking to grow their business. Also, I have to check out that podcast!

      CK Magic 100% understand it's stupid boring lol. BUT so necessary. That's why I made it. Lots of people were curious as to how I do things.

    I took a look at TAVE and I love the design, it is very important to me. Also, the cost is reasonable. I know people use HoneyBook as well. I will give TAVE a try for sure. Also, you mentioned contracts and proposals, do you use any particular websites or templates to make them? Or did you make your own? Thank you for making these videos. You are further along this path I want to go and this helps me piece everything together.

      Marcos Rocha so glad this was helpful. I do all the contracts in tave.

    Hey Scott! I just set up Tave. Could you do a more in depth video on how to use it as a beginner?

    • @scottmckenna

      You'll love Tave, it's super powerful. They have tons of great videos to learn it on their web site. Also, I strongly encourage you to join the facebook group. People are super helpful there as well.

      @@scottmckenna very helpful! I am literally setting up Tave right now. Would you be open to sharing the lead generation checklist part of your workflow? That would be so helpful to understand your tried and tested approach/automations!

    What other crms have you used? I’m a new business and want to start with a good system. Tave costs more so it keeps me looking at competitors. Since I’m new I’m not sure I will use all of Taves features. Can you give me advice?

    • @scottmckenna
      @scottmckenna  6 лет назад

      I use it because it's the best one I've ever found and used, which is also why it's probably more money. I wouldn't promote it if wasn't good. Period :).

    I'm really looking into using Tave! However, I'm curious to know if it's necessary to purchase QuickBooks along with Tave?

    • @scottmckenna
      @scottmckenna  6 лет назад +1

      I have an accountant so I don’t do the taxes. I just export everything from Táve for expenses and income and give it to him.

    Thanks for this! I looked around Tave and it really seems to be geared towards wedding photo/video. Also, do you use the site for uploading your video projects for clients? Seems like max file size is very small.

    • @scottmckenna
      @scottmckenna  7 лет назад

      +michaeljoelmintz I do not use Tave for uploading films to couples. I do all that through Mediazilla. I use Tave for simply client management and everything associated with it. Payments, invoices, contracts, etc.

    I have a couple of startup businesses on the go, related to each other and followed your advice followed your link and went for Tave, OMG, the possibilities, the customization, the support and the videos on the help section, the easiness to separate the businesses in order to have 2 different brands in the same platform, the time you save, etc just blew me out of the water, I will definitely continue on using it after the trial period, brilliant. thank you so much.

  • @JeffreyPickett

    Scott: how would you compare this to something like 17 Hats? How long have you used Tave? What does it lack? Does it automate emails or workflows based on a wedding date or videography project?

    • @scottmckenna
      @scottmckenna  6 лет назад

      +The FVLOG I didn’t like 17 hats at all. Way to basic for me. Anything can be automated with Táve. It’s so nice.

    • @JeffreyPickett
      @JeffreyPickett 6 лет назад

      That's a relief that you've heard of them and can compare them. That helps in my decision making processes.
      On a related note - you were at 4,000 subs when I first came across your channel. You've popped up 20% since then. You're the next Peter McKinnon! He was at 40,000 when I followed him this time last year. Now he's over 1.1 million.
      Moral of the story - keep replying quick to my comments and I'll take you far! (Just kidding - you're doing just fine without my help)

    Hi Scott. I had a quick question with Tave. Thinking of signing up soon. Do you have 2 separate Tave accounts? 1 for Scaling Creative and 1 for 4LC Studios? I was wondering if Tave has the option of using 2 separate websites into 1 Tave account or you basically need to setup 2 accounts? Thanks again!

    • @DiqaunColeman
      @DiqaunColeman 6 лет назад

      Scott McKenna Ok. Great! As far as contracts are concerned, should I put both the bride & the groom under contract, either or, or whoever is paying the money(i.e mom, aunt, uncle)?
