I bought a pink alpacasso in person from a vendor at an anime convention and I just wanna make sure it's authentic. It has a cute bow with a little bell attached to its neck and a flower with a pompom on its head but by searching online I haven't found pictures of the same one. It had a Japanese tag that said "Kids Alpacasso" and everything, though.
Look up "Makiba Kids Pink" and see if yours looks like that! Thats the series I believe you are describing! The Pink Makiba kid has such a unique pastel pink color she is wonderful.

PayPal and eBay are so useful when buying Alpacasso, if you're unsure.
You have buyer protection against bootlegs (counterfeit/fake).
If you're in the same position as me, remember to contact the seller first and be knowledgeable, but polite~ and then if they don't give a proper reply to your satisfaction (one tried to ensure me that the 32cm Adult was Authentic), you can go straight through PayPal and make a case :)

Ariana Tran to be safe I would say assume they are bootlegs. They are missing the second tag and the pink one's ruffle colors are off! They look like well copied booties.

Rosy does not sell bootlegs. She will never sell a bootleg. I don't know exactly what you are describing but it is an amuse series for sure!

Err I got one used and the tags arent there but everything else is right on the toosh I see little markings that look like cut off tags should I say bootleg or authentic other people who also bought from them said its was authentic so im now wondering what do you guys think....

Also seeing this I think my Rainbow Pink Yellow & Blue stripe is real but I think my next 2 ones are fakes, they are coming from Aliexpress.
+SoniaSephia I did have a black one! Unfortunately, the black colored alpacasso go for over 100 dollars usually. There are the Monotone, the Black and Pink(?), and UK Olympic. If you can find them in smaller sizes though, they might be a bit more affordable!
Also yes, unfortunately Aliexpress sells bootlegs.

However I did come up with a idea :) I even mentioned in a other video of yours where you did show your black Alpacasso
My idea to work around this is :)
1. Buy a solid white Alpacassso
2. buy safe permanent polyester black fabric dye
3. unstuff the white Alpacasso to make the dye process easier without cotton stuffing absorbing the dye.
4. Dye it. Hang dry. Gently hand wash in cold water and fabric softener. Hang dry :)
5. Stuff the cotton filling back in, sew it back close. (I'm good at sewing).
Wish me luck! :) Do you think this will work?
I'll probably end with a solid black. It will be very hard to not get the face but I don't mind. Actually google images showed a solid black one, cute.

+Isabella Amonette Depends how you see it, it is all a personal opinion. I personally think it is bad to buy a bootleg when you know it's a bootleg. Booties are often of much worse quality too (and not as cute!). I prefer to support Amuse.

+Isabella Amonette Authentic means the alpacas are from the original seller who designed the plush. Any other alpacasso look-alikes that aren't from the seller are bootlegs. Therefore, to be authentic (which will be the best quality and worth the most) the alpaca must be Amuse brand!

I'm sorry if this seems silly, but why do a lot of you tubers make a big deal about bootlegs? Also, I asked my parents for one of Amazon for my birthday (17 days). It claims to be Mad Hatter series, and it looks very real. How do you know what gender they are?
usually females have eyelashes! And we talk about bootlegs because buying a bootleg supports people who copy the designs of Amuse. Bootlegs are also usually worse quality and fall apart! So it hurts both you and the real company to buy booties!

it depends where you get them from, the authentic ones usually range between £16/$25 - £22/$35 (some times they will be on sale though so you can get them cheaper)

It's small, it had a medal chain in its head (I took it off) and the alpaca is yellow. (Beige?) It has a purple bowtie which has a pink heart in it. I can't check the tag, cuz I took it off and now it's lost. It has the thing(?) in her butt and it says: Alpacasso
