It was fun to hear Jimins take on his album in talking to Suga on his talk show. He was worried about the production but was happy he was able to show a side of himself not previously shown. And coming from Suga who said, "it was seriously good" gave Jimin great validation. "You nice, keep going"!
Afraid of people laughing at him mockingly which ties to set me free part 2 when he says he will stop hiding step out even if people mock him. He is mercilessly mocked and bullied online along with the dth threats, so he stopped going on social media. Then Covid and not being able to be on stage plus other life issues. I love this, it’s heartbreaking. I think Jimin’s father cried when he heard this song. Stigma was my rude awakening. I said this in the states would be considered RB baby making music until I read the lyrics and cried because so emotional.

Alone and letter are tied for my favourite FACE songs. I’ve never seen this fan mv before, but they really did do a great job! One lyric near the end they didn’t translate though: when he says same day, fall again and again, there’s a background vocal that says “mayday, get me out of here” which adds even more to the emotion in my opinion. Idk if you’re aware, but the BTS Festa schedule was just released, for their 10th anniversary celebration! We have no idea what they’re going to do obviously, it’s all surprises, but if we’re lucky there may also be a song coming out 🤞 it’s gonna be various content to celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Happy first festa to you, congratulations! 🥳
My sentiments on the album,but now,my #1 is the Festa release of Letter acoustic,then Alone,then Like Crazy, acoustic version. I love hearing Jimins vocals without all the extras,a guitar will suffice!😊

This entire EP actually is one I highly love. I wish it was longer, but oh well. The sound of this song in particular is so lonely and reading the lyrics after my first listen made me so emotional. It’s a comfort song for me 💜 and I’m really appreciating your analysis (of all the members, not just Jimin). I think there is the idea that when you are rich and famous you have the world at your feet, and to some degree, you do, but at the same time I think your world becomes very small - all eyes on you all of the time and the circle of people you can trust is almost non-existent. They are very much in a gilded cage. For the line about laughing that you keyed in on, I think it is both. Jimin has been one of the members who outwardly seems to have struggled the most with self-esteem and so I imagine there is fear of being laughed at but there is also that sense of being on the outside, everyone has these normal, carefree experiences that you can't really participate in (again, hard to connect with people when you are constantly having to watch your back).
i think this journey from all of BTS members is about identity ......also group work on social economic stuff in their own country it cant be said directly but can be said in music as people interpret that in different forms and platforms, you find yourself in so many roles in life even as a celebrity....your a mother, a father a colleague at work....a best friend, for me it literally boils down to who u are ?

I think Alone would be my favorite from this EP if the lyrics didn’t make it so difficult to listen to, it’s just so sad. I’ve always thought major celebrities are some of the loneliest people in the world because so many put them on a pedestal that I don’t think many take the time to get to know them as people, or they have to worry about whether or not someone is using them, and then add being so busy you don’t have time to form genuine connections you’re left with constantly being surrounded by people while still feeling alone. 2:42 about being laughed at or mocked, I think because I am Jimin biased I have been exposed to a lot of Jimin hate/anti behavior towards him (like I know the other members experience this also, but bc I’m often in Jimin-centric spaces, I see more towards him) and as someone who got into k-pop only a year ago now, I personally have never seen anything like it before. People say the most vile things and I’ve noticed there are idols that no matter how much positive attention they receive, they seem like they can’t help but to zero in on the negative, and Jimin seems to be one of them. I don’t think he’s as bad as say Chan from SKZ but I have wondered if many k-pop idols have some kind of body dysmorphia because of the way they talk about their weight/bodies and food is so obsessive and I think unhealthy. Fans get very defensive about this saying it’s part of their job to look good, but I really think a lot them take it too far and I genuinely worry about their mental health.

@@loredell No they do actually "mix up the translations", this isn't the only song where it has happened and it's actually very common For example if you watch translations for magic shop almost every translator has a different concoction of "you/I/me"s for their translations. The same also goes for "he/she and her/him". Anyway Jimin in this specific song did not use the word "you" for most of the places where the translator translated it so.

It felt like an I but obscured to a you. This explains why I felt it was a conversation between two. But really it was an admission from him.
