I think it’s smarter to leave the cleanout high like it already was…some of the service companies I’ve worked for charge 500-800 dollars to pull and reset the toilet in addition to the cable fee..it’s not hurting anything staying above the ground like that so close the house
Plus I'm willing to bet it was broken from someone stepping on it or hitting it with a mower or some other implement. A foot high discourages people from stepping on them, mowers can't go over them, and they are pretty obvious so people are less likely to hit it. And like you said, it's close enough to the house to not be an obstacle in the middle of the yard.
You’d have dig more out to get a straight cut .. they had that black weed blocker her, we don’t want to disturb the flower bed anymore more than we had to
I work in water and sewer utilities and we don't usually put glue on the cleanout cap on city side because people always hit them with lawn mowers lol. Its Either that or if its the same address we extend them about a foot above the ground.
There is reason they leave them high so you can find them when you need to clean your line , spray paint them brown to match the pin straw, or green for grass 🫡
Leave it to a plumber to not know the difference between when to use a drill or when to use an impact. Also unless Dewalt sponsored this video, I don’t see why you just wouldn’t use a Sawzall for that, especially since that tool is designed to be used for when you can’t cut a pipe from the outside and are forced to cut it from the inside.
Sawzaw requires more digging to make room for the saw to make a clean cut. This is a cool little bit, would save me from breaking out the Dremel when doing this.
What’s funny when I started plumbing 23 years ago we would take a one of them small blades and bolt it to a Johnny bolt use that in our drill for inside cutter
The catch towel is a nice touch but don’t really see the need in this case a lot worse thing are on their way to the treatment plant then those couple of PVC shavings, but nothing wrong with overkill.
@@drunkengull5759it’s not about the money it’s about dropping it in the drain and creating a blockage. Unless you really care about the money more, then it’s about the money
@@am3rikan84 Well yeah, if these youtube plumbers have taught me anything its all about the money. Also, it'd be almost impossible to have a blockage after the final cleanout on a main, that things just going to the nearest lift station or treatment separator.
The biggest fail of this whole video… he didn’t pull the trigger 2 times to make sure the drill works after he put the battery on. 🙄
LMAO 😂
Amateurs everywhere smh🤣🤣
Lol
Lmfao, I never thought about it, but I inadvertently do that every time!!
Freaking apprentices 😂😂😂
Respect on the straight cut with the inside cutter. Took me tons of practice to cut straight with one
Thanks 👍 absolutely
Just gotta get your eyes leveled

Uhm sawzall cut from outside😅
You’d have dig more out to get a straight cut .. they had that black weed blocker her, we don’t want to disturb the flower bed anymore more than we had to
He’s right, u dunno
@theplumberlorian you probably have to dig out for your glue joint also. Excuses are like, well you know, everyone has one
Sawzall blades might also be cheaper than specialty inside 90° cut off wheels
Still had to dig it out to put that other fitting on
Good Quality we see you in 3 Years with a new Video 🎉
Nice cut. Made it look way easier than it truly is
Thanks 👍

Why would you glue a clean out, period. That rather defeats the purpose.
Yeah I meant the cap, not the plug that threads in.
Cut off threaded area, then glued top on? What am I missing?
Yep that’s what happened
There is reason they leave them high so you can find them when you need to clean your line , spray paint them brown to match the pin straw, or green for grass 🫡
The thing about an outside clean out. If it's in the lawn, it NEEDS TO BE STICKING UP.
OTHERWISE when mowing its "good bye clean out"
Yardbox. Have some class
@@dunkdamonk speak English
Wth …. I feel incomplete without seeing the threaded couple installed 😢
LOL 😂 I’ll post the extended version for you soon I promise
For real i wanted to see the repair. 😊
How did threads mysteriously appear on the inside after you cut the cap off?
Sorry the video footage was damaged couldn’t upload it .. so I had to leave that part out
The Beloved inside cutter!

It literally says he’s sponsored and it was sent to him for free🤦♂️
He uses the impact because it is less likely for the bit to fall out of the impact in the pipe vs a drill.
Sawzaw requires more digging to make room for the saw to make a clean cut. This is a cool little bit, would save me from breaking out the Dremel when doing this.
Is this the "innovative tools from the nineties" section of YT?
A Chrissy box will prevent it from breaking again
Whats the reason for teflon on the threads?
Sawzall all the way lol
We didn’t want to disturb the flower bed anymore than we had to .. she had that black weed blocker everywhere
So I’m supposed to be impressed
What happened to the rag ?
請問這是什麼用途的出口?
When only a demo, you cut straight
LMAO 😂
Really putting a lot of lateral force on those bearings... Oh wait, DeWalt sells both products? Should be fine then. 😂
Cutting soft PLASTIC. Really should not be much of a problem.
DeWalt wants to make all the Handy Andy's think that's a new tool 😂
It’s not a new concept but it’s a better version of what already exists
Nice, but that lateral pressure ruins drill bearings.
What’s funny when I started plumbing 23 years ago we would take a one of them small blades and bolt it to a Johnny bolt use that in our drill for inside cutter
$150 later for a DW accessory...looks to be handy 1 out of 10 times you might need it
Where did the thread come from??
I glued a female adapter on … sorry left a couple parts out for the sake of time .. YT only gives me 1 min on shorts
草が伸びてくると見つけにくくなるから少し高めにしてある方が良くないか?
If it was in the lawn sure .. this is in a flower bed so it doesn’t matter just as long as it’s above the ground
The catch towel is a nice touch but don’t really see the need in this case a lot worse thing are on their way to the treatment plant then those couple of PVC shavings, but nothing wrong with overkill.
The towel is incase the bit pops out of the drill/impact. There goes 15 bucks, happens a surprising amount of the time.

임팩낀게 무엇인지요?
It cuts faster with a corded drill.
Oh yeah, people will trip over it much more easily, now 😂
I can't believe these people called a plumber for that.
That's a nice tool but completely unnecessary use of it in this vid lol. Had access to the outside around the entire pipe.
Holy shit that was the weakest disclaimer ever.
It's a sponsored video. Leave that shit up so people can actually read it.
I wonder if this guy is sponsored by Dewalt.
Haha it says paid promotion on the video 😂
What’s that like $3.50?
So they wanted it 2 inches lower?
I would like to have it high enough to see and not get buried .
Just wanted a new one because sometimes it’s annoying having money in your pocket
Что это всё? Релама инструмента? Или, как трубу надо поставить,а потом её пилить? Или, как крышу закрутить, и открутить?
You left out half of the steps.

In a flower bed?
@@theplumberlorian Why not? Much cleaner and flat with the grade.
What'll they think of next?
What was wrong with the saw zal
More digging
Lol...he cut the threads out...how did he screw the cap on...lol...he missed a part
That could've been chiseled off and left high
