Their music could of been so much more. It's good, the singing and the tunes but it's soulless and shallow. 40 year old men lusting after young women basically. Plus they haven't treated their fans very well. Bad concerts, late, few songs, job done kind of crap. These are people that support them and deserve better.

Because of the pain my ex caused me, I was not able to play a single Cigarettes After Sex for months - yes for months! Because these songs would bring all the pain I've been trying to overcome. Yesterday I saw him with his new girlfriend while I'm there and today I decided to play the entire album because I don't care anymore and I am not afraid. I will blast all of their albums without hesitation and I am so happy that I can finally listen to them again!

Dood, you need to understand that your school doesn't define you as a person; your job will not define you as a person. You are not the school that you went to, you are not the job that you work at. In time, you'll see; what really matters, although in this hyper-materialistic environment that we suffer from due to our inexplicable and foolish "allegiance" to it, as it were, you'll find out what really matters, what's actually important and it's definitely not going to be in this image-construction, that caricature, sock-puppet version of yourself that you think would be nice and that others might like; you'll see the vanity in all of it and learn from reality the real things that have actual value and offer actual happiness. Dood, you need to understand that your school doesn't define you as a person; your job will not define you as a person. You are not the school that you went to, you are not the job that you work at. Again, none of your material possessions or silly social status markers like car, job, money; none of these things define who you are and most social status markers are actually big ass liabilities, not assets (i.e. the car example). If you give school that much power over you then it's for the best that you didn't get it because you're only hurting yourself to think that this whole image you're constructing means anything at all. It's just an image, but you are you, so don't fool yourself and remember; life is not a straight line, and love is not a formula. Your school environment and the real world are two different things entirely. Don't let something like that get to you when it literally has no power over you other than that which you've given *it*. All of the THINGS that society says is the right way for you, as though it were all just predetermined, it's all such a big ass illusion that you're stuck in right now especially in a school environment. In time, you'll see; what really matters, although in this hyper-materialistic environment that we suffer from due to our inexplicable and foolish "allegiance" to it, as it were, you'll find out what really matters, what's actually important and it's definitely not going to be in this image-construction, that caricature, sock-puppet version of yourself that you think would be nice and that others might like; you'll see the vanity in all of it and learn from reality the real things that have actual value and offer actual happiness. To hell with casting feigned imagery and be bold enough to be you... if you have the courage to do so.
