Alot of artist are creative but the record labels won't let them be. Lil Uzi is signed so he has to put out what the labels want him too. Alot of xxx music was put out before he got signed that is why he had more creative control. Lil Uzi is talented and got mad style but xxx had more creative freedom to do what he wanted on his album. Most teens feel like everything is life or death because they don't have other life responsibilities to worry about. I felt like everything was life or death as a teen so I can see how a lot of teens can feel Xxx music but shit, being a teen was a struggle and depressing enough but and I wanted to listen to music that made me feel better. Xxx music is what being 17 feels like but way too hopeless and depressing. I never saw how his album made people with depression and anxiety feel better it makes it worse and now that he passed in such a depressing way his songs sound even more depressing and hopeless. The only song I liked was moonlight everything else was so depressing, dark, angry or violent. His music was very powerful and does what music is suppose to make you do, feel something. So as a person that dealt with anxiety, depression and being unhappy as a teen, his music was like lighter fluid for a person already struggling with being sad. I always listened to fast happy upbeat music to make me feel better and hopeful. Xxx music makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry so not sure how his music helps depression and Anxiety but it definately will make you feel all the pain, stress, anger and hopelessness and every other negative emotion he was going through and I just want to feel happy so I shy away from things that trigger these types of feelimg for me.
