    Hey Kyle waiting for these (currently on back order). Priced nicely, the ‘big 3’ GL, WM and MM) have gone nuts on pricing (and all manufactured oversees). I bought these and they are very unique and we'll made. 100% waterproof, unlike mosko or giant loop products.
    I also got wp hurricane tail bag, wp hurricane tank bag. Also that rigg gear 10litre roll bag for a tent, mattress and sleeping bag (2,5kg/5,5lb).
    Also, I mounted two 5litre crashbar bags under the saddlebags for all of the heavy gear, if needed. For example 1 gallon fuel/water bladder in the opposite side of the muffler to balance it's weight and Tools and cooking hardware to other side. You can barely feel the weight of the gear, because weight is now so down low.
    What a difference compared to my old adv-bike with aluminium cases. Those empty cases (with mounts) weights the same than all of my current rigg gear luggage with full gear. For a week.

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  3 месяца назад

      Thank you for your feedback Jason. Soft luggage is the way to go when looking to pair back a bit. Same amount of gear can be taken at a fraction of the weight and girth. Thanks for choosing Nelson Rigg, we appreciate you.

    I have tried 4 different types of bags for my Tenere 700. I go on months long trip, but also use my bike for daily rider and grocery getter. The only system that met my needs for ease of use, versatility and storage, was the mosko moto rackless. My buddy uses it, WAY too expensive for me. Why cant anyone make a budget minded set up that uses a rackless cradle system like that? I would buy 4 - 6 dry bags to prepack, and then keep the cradle on my bike. You could have a dry bag rolled up inside your tank bag if you find an item you want on a trip. Unroll, stuff and BAM! you GTG. I would pay 60-80 for a cradle like that, 50-75 for bags. lets go Nelson Rigg! make this happen.

    Kyle I'm using the Hurricane 40L duffle bag and one feedback from my experience is the PVC material is not thick enough to prevent punctures/cuts from roadside gravels/stones/concretes. Either a more durable material should be used or an extra layer of reinforcement (just like the bottom of the bags) should be given in the damage prone areas. I'm using heavy duty waterproof plumbing tapes and duct tapes to reinforce some parts. For this saddlebags , the side walls in case of a fall will get punctured in case of a fall on hard surface. Love the so well thought out mounting mechanism. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

      @Nelsonriggusa  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment and for your suggestions. Well... concrete tears up metal bags too ;). J/K ... We will take into consideration "thicker materials" or reinforced layers but that in most cases just leads to MORE WEIGHT which we tried to stay away from... With a single side replacement (in the case of a gnarly crash) at just about $100 we thought it best to make them durable and light as possible. We have done some extensive crash testing and have found them to be pretty darn tough. We will continue to refine them as we go though... THANK YOU for your suggestions!

      @@Nelsonriggusa Thanks for the quick response. I love the tail bag as it holds its boxy shape. Very few actually does that. Perfect for carrying laptop. And yes the bag is very very light weight. Here in India now almost whole hurricane range is available and I agree bang for the buck even after import taxes.
      How about an (may be optional) inner bag for the saddle bags so that we can take our stuffs to the hotel without dismounting the bags :)

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  Месяц назад +1

      Thank you for your inquiry. The RG-020 Trails End saddlebags do look smaller on the bike than the SE-4014 Hurricane saddlebags but when expanded fully, they do hold nearly the same amount of gear. The Hurricane bags hold the gear vertically and closer to the bike where as the Trails End when expanded hold the gear further out and away from the bike making the load much wider. The Hurricane bags also allow the addition of RiggPak's to the top and bottom increasing the storage capacity 5L at a time. Pretty neat set-up.

    • @Nelsonriggusa
      @Nelsonriggusa  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your inquiry. Sorry for the delayed response. We were out in VA at the BMW MOA 50th Anniversary Rally. Technically the SE-4010 could attache to the top of these bags via the straps top straps. However, the SE-4010 is longer than the top of these saddlebags and might interfere with you seating position on the bike. It all depends on how much room you have between your butt and the saddlebags. If you have any further questions, call the office and Kyle can walk you through it.

    Wow... These are cheap and bad carbon copies of the Enduristan Blizzards. The shape is exact, the strap positions are exact, the mounting of the added storage is exact... What is different is the cheaper material, an over the saddle hook and loop system that works well when its new but once it get dusty is useless (hence most companies stop using it), a bunch of extra "compression" straps that don't serve much purpose other then extra straps, bunch of extra buckles.... Goof thing you did not make the interior yellow for ease of finding your stuff inside.
    The crash bar tail bags are also a copy and mix of the Enduristan Fender bags and XS Base Packs....

      Thank you for sharing your opinion Jonathan. We have actually based these off of our very popular 8 year old Dual Sport Saddlebags. When we launched our Hurricane Line of Large ADV luggage last year, we have had many of our customers ask for a smaller version, and that is what we have done. The side of a dirt bike / enduro bike only has so much real estate and the shape is pretty much dictated by that area we have to work with. Regarding the other features and benefits, we have made several iterations of the bag and this is what we have found to be most useful. Thanks for taking the time to comment. - NR

      Thanks for your comment Mick and for sharing your feelings. We hear you sound and clear. Our Dual Sport Saddlebag customers have been asking for a waterproof set up for a long time... and after the ADV version of the Hurricane Saddlebags launched last year the requests intensified. This Waterproof Hurricane version is modeled after our already existing Trails End Dual Sport Saddlebag we have been selling for 8 Years! Yes, we looked at several bags in the marketplace and we wanted to make them Lighter, Stronger, Easier to Mount, more Versatile AND... we gave them a Lifetime Warranty! Several of our "technologies" from our other bags have been integrated with these bags. Our internal stiffeners which allow the bags to hold their shape even when empty, the Air Purge Valve, the ability to compress flat agains the bike. Anyhow... Not here to argue. We appreciate you and your feelings. We do hope that you continue to support our brand as we continue to march into the future making the best soft luggage we can. Sincerely,
