    Great review. My only issue is the repetitive use of the word "Alexa," which freaked out my Echo multiple times.

    Very in-depth review. It's actually tipped the scale for me wanting this more than I thought I would. One of the most important things you mentioned is using the AC adapter in conjunction with batteries. Very good info to know.
    The one thing I'm curious about is if the pull down is long enough to fill a pot on the counter. I've been going back and forth between getting something like this, and a semi-pro faucet. The semi-pro don't have the smart features and are a bit more expensive as well.
    Also curious how it's treating you after a year. Does it still require a "skill"?

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  3 года назад +1

      Hi! I have plenty of length on the faucet to fill a pot next to the sink. I will do that occasionally when I clean clams, put them on ice and then fill over the top with cold water.
      As far as a year after the purchase…. The sensor over the top is used multiple times a day. We never use the handle to turn the faucet on. Using the Alexa feature….. comes in handy when you need it. Def dont use it as much as we did in the beginning but it is really nice to have. Its just so easy to have it dispenses the correct amount of water without having to go dig for measuring cups.

    Great video! Appreciate you taking the time to make this.
    One question (sorry if I missed this)...is there a way to temporarily disable the sensor, like if you need to clean the faucet or just don’t want it to come on for any reason ?

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  3 года назад +2

      Easiest way would be to just unplug the battery pack. It’s one small cable.

    Very helpful. I have it installed but the hot water flow gets cut in half after 5 seconds or so. Any thoughts? Is this driven by a setting anywhere? I can't seem to find it. Any guidance would be helpful.

      I suggest you call the company. You might have to wait a few days for a callback, but the techs can reset your faucet, diagnose problems and go into detail what might be going on. We weren’t impressed with the faucets until we consulted with them

    I have the Moen U Shower (3 years) and love it so I was curious about the faucet. The faucet app is significantly more current and diverse than the shower app. I hope that they up thier game for the shower.

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  3 года назад +1

      I did have to replace them maybe 6 months after. But i have had the current ones in for over 6 months so i guess it depends on how much you use it. Not a bad idea to have a spare set laying around.

    Great review! Wondering about the flow rate when using the sensor to turn it on. Does the flow rate go full on only with the sensor or does it go to the handle setting? Can you set it in the app? Thanks!

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  3 года назад +1

      Is funny you ask that. When i set it up originally that was an option to set the flow. Not sure what happened but that setting vanished. It must have went away with an update. So right now the only option is full open with the sensor.

    Great review, very helpful. Is it possible to have two smart faucets close to each other and address them by different names?

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  4 года назад +5

      Thanks! Yes you can address different faucets. You would name each faucet like “kitchen faucet” and “wet bar faucet.” Then you can say “Alexa ask moen to turn on the kitchen faucet.” You can also select your default in the app, so if you go generic like “ask moen to turn on” it will turn in the default faucet.

    Thanks for the good video. I'm looking at getting this faucet and am curious about how accurate the volumes are coming out of the faucet. Wondering if you have the capability to dispense a few different volumes of water and use a scale to measure how much was actually released. Thanks.

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  4 года назад +5

      The faucet is shockingly extremely accurate. I did teaspoon, tablespoon, 1/4 cup, 1/2 cup, 1 cup. They all measure out exact to the drop. The funny part when I tested it, I learned my normal tablespoons(Or what I thought were tablespoons) we use for dinner are not actually tablespoons. At first I thought the faucet was messing up tablespoons for some reason. After it getting everything else exact multiple times, I pulled out actual measuring teaspoons. And... go figure it measured it exact.

  • @ShanePresleyC
    @ShanePresleyC 3 года назад +2

    Regarding the temp accuracy, when it primes the faucet and shuts off, for whatever duration it takes for you to resume the flow that hot water is sitting in your pipes getting cold, potentially cold enough to throw off the mix. It's even worse if you have a tankless water heater because once the demand stops the heater stops and you will notice the temp diff. I can't imagine many people need it terribly precise but if you do you should consider a point of use water heater.

    hi there, I just recently installed my smart faucet, and the problem i am having is like you said right at the end of your video regarding learning your home on the app, i did that and when i ask for hot water it says sorry water is to hot? how do i fix that issue? it will not let me set it any higher in the application. I would like it to dispense hot water at the hottest temp my water goes. is it a programming issue on my end? or is there a way around there max temp of 120 degrees? if you could let me know your thoughts that would be very appreciated. very frustrating. thank you

    Thanks for the review! Question- Some of the reviews on Amazon talk about the flow control with the handle being very limited. How good/bad is the flow control with the handle? Can you really adjust it to comfortable low flow if you need? Thank you.

    • @CiscoSal
      @CiscoSal  3 года назад +2

      It definitely could be better. From 100% open down to 10% it works fine. But there really isn’t anything below that. It shuts off around 10% flow. So if you’re trying to get a little trickle out it can be difficult.

    I noticed on the U by Moen Shower that you can just do "Alexa turn on the shower", so I'm hoping you can do it with a direct Alexa command versus the extra "ask moen to" part. Have you played around with that yet?

      @@CiscoSal interesting. I don't know yet because we're just starting to build our new house and I've been researching all of the smart things. Here's a Moen link talking about it being an Alexa smart home skill with regard to the shower, so I'm hoping it's the same app/skill with the sink.
      www.moen.com/press-room/press-releases/u-by-moen
      I have watched a few videos of the shower and it definitely works with "Alexa start my shower" kind of commands. Just getting started with the sink options so not sure there yet.
