Hello from Japan ;) I don't think Hiro hates Taka. He just wants to try hard to be better than Taka since he has always got compared with him all the time since they were little. And I really think Taka is happy that his young brother is having these passions toward him. As everyone heard from Taka's mouth in 18 fes performance speech, he wants all the young kids who have passions toward something, to continue to have them and become better than OOR. (He'll also keep trying to be better than himself.) So just to give yah so info one ok rock blew up in Japan around the end of 2010 that is also when they held their first stadium concert at Budokan and their breakthrough album in japan that pushed them forward was Niche Syndrome. they took a break in 2009 because their 5th member left the band so they change their sound a bit which led to the kanzen kankaku dreamer single. their breakthrough album in the USA is of course 35vxxx and Ambitions. around 2012 they did collabs with 21 pilot and Fall out boy which led to recognition in the USA.

just my personal opinion, I don't like My First Story, I heard Hiro singing once or twice - his voice is more high-pitched than Taka, but thinner, it doesn't have that substantial voice/power feel - in terms of stage performance and aesthetics, Hiro's actions look like how rock singers should perform, all his actions look good (I don't like his voice) -> that makes me feel his performance is more focused on how he looks rather than the power of his voice, I get the feeling he's rather artificial. If I use a cake analogy, Hiro is like the cream on the cake without substance. And because I don't really watch MFS' performances, I can't say whether he's improved or not.
and just to see whether there's any basis for my prejudice, I just watched MY FIRST STORY, Missing You【Official Video】, my verdict still remains the same. I guess he's not so bad since MFS can keep releasing albums, but I don't connect with his voice. It would be interesting if you'd like to react to this or other MV, and share with us what you think of Hiro's voice/performance.

They're really good but Hiro is pretty awful at singing live...well at first he was, he was kinda shy and sang in a very tiny voice, he also didn't hit the high notes, it was really awful. But he became better, they're also doing bigger concerts now! So I'm happy for that! ^o^

I think both. Hiro is a really good singer he just can't control his voice like Taka, plus he's just not confident enough. You have to keep in mind tho that they have only been a band for 6 years so they're pretty new. They still need to build their confidence compared to OOR who started in 2005. They're definitely getting better lately! Last year their Japan tour was completely sold out in a few days!! They performed at Budokan for the first time! They're becoming more popular now but compared to OOR they're still pretty tiny xD Taka definitely doesn't want Hiro the feel this pressure. The fans are the ones who give him the pressure because they feel the need to compare them.

I don't like Hiro. He was supported by Taka when he was young. But now, the brothers have been compared, and only OOR become too big. MFS is also big but cannot be compared with their popularity. So Hiro hates Taka. I think Hiro is childish.
