It annoys me how expensive the velociraptor escape is, literally the only reason to buy it is for the egg print (if you event want it or collect that stuff) and for Roland tempo
Really happy to finally get some more original Jurassic Park sets. As someone who owns very few of the World sets most of these are a definite buy. The Dinos overall are great, most of the scenes well represented as well as the iconic vehicles. Despite being overprice the Brachiosaurus is my favorite of the entire wave.
I think the extra colors on the Trex skeleton actually make sense. Since it's on display realistically they would need to add different support parts to keep everything held together without muscle
I am so thankful that you make these videos. On first look my heart screamed "I NEED THEM ALL", after your review my heart and wallet said "you really only need two!".
The price absolutely kills it. Still want that Brachiosaurus though - hopefully we can see it discounted down the road. Love the shaving foam white frog too - that is genius. Are you planning on reviewing the shadowbox Batcave by chance? It's one of the most unique, intriguing, potentially horrendous, possibly brilliant (definitely way overpriced) sets I've probably ever seen. Dying to see it in person.
I'm definitely getting the Visitor Center and Triceratops poop sets, and one of the two Jeep sets. I prefer the roll cage Jeep but don't like the tree, so might get Nedry's just for a shaving cream can lol
incredible sets. My inly problem is that lego didn't make an velocciraptor paddock. Ik the 4+ is technicaly it but common how cool would be an actual big velociraptor paddock.
I cannot count how many times I, as a kid in the late 90s, have played out Jurassic Park using all my LEGO bricks. I created some sick Isla Nublars! I would have gone mental if these sets came back then! I remember the first dinosaur related LEGO set was 1349: Steven Spielberg Moviemaker Set! I loved that set! easily my favourite set back then!
Trex rampage is the favourite set in my collection :) Very excited now. Not paying full price, lego are reinforcing their own problem. I think with jurassic park its much harder for lego to create totally bad sets, unlike star wars with many subthemes where 2023 lego part saving with a subtheme you don't like and its actually negative goodwill sometimes. For jurassic park, especially the original that we've seen hundreds of times.. happy!
2:57 I'm actually certain that clip piece in front of the grill is meant to represent the winch. Plenty of moc JP Wrangers were made with that piece right there
When I get the visitor center I’m going to replace that T. rex skeleton with the one from a few years ago that uses the t Rex head for the skull instead of brick built. It’s much closer to the T. rex fig in size
I have to agree that these sets are too Juniorized for the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park, which obviously appeals to an older demographic. The visitor's center should have been an 18+ set, and the 4+ set was completely unnecessary.
you gotta love the repurposing of the frog elements in such genius ways I wonder if the designer team has a "Eureka" moment everytime they find a new way to repurpose parts. It's one of my favourite parts of the sets along with playability, tech gears and hidden easter eggs /references in lego sets and more the piece count the better it is.
4:17 I don't think it was lazy at all. They deliberately made this version so we would have vehicle 04 and 05 for people who want both in the same style.
Someone should make custom stickers for the Visitor Center doors. LEGO really dropped the ball on that one. While I prefer prints, I would rather have stickers than nothing at all.
I was so hyped for the brachiosaurus, but the body and legs being 1 piece kills it for me. They definitely should have made the legs seperate like they do for all the big dinosaurs. Not only would that make the dinosaur posable, but it could also be used for other dinosaurs. All the other long neck dinosaurs that maybe have lower front legs could have switched the legs from front to back. And the neck gap is also ugly. Just make it cover it completely and let it rotate like the tail. Exactly like how they did it for the old lego dinosaur sets. I hate that lego cheaps out on us but still asks for the insanely high prices
I wasn't really interested in any of these sets but the dilophasaurus one and I've seen a bunch of videos that essentially do the same thing as yours, but after watching your video specifically, I want the whole wave... you really sold them all so well with the videography and dialogue... Dang it lol! Shoutout to the "storm" lighting. Very nice touch 👌🏻
If you want a pretty convincing SPAS-12 build for Muldoon, a 6246c Power Drill + 3959 Space Gun over the drill with a 48729 Bar Clip underneath as the 'pump' works good.
I got the brachiosaurus set last year and showed to my coworkers, they absolute loved the dinosaur, i keep it built on my desk, Lego nailed this one in my honest opinion.
11:32 Here we have the incubator, which has already appeared a lot in the sets of Lego Jurassic World/Park First on set "Dr Wu's Lab" Later on Set "Giganotosaurus Vs Therizinosaurus" And now in this A point to be mentioned, lego makes incubators simpler and simpler
They already came out with a Jurassic World lego set that had a full T-Rex skeleton that looked good and used a builded body with a T-Rex molded Skull. That build would've been perfect for the Visitor Center. I wonder why they didn't use it.
Awesome review! Am I the only one which prefer the old Velociraptor chase set skin for the Velociraptors? But happy that they came up with a new skin color, nonetheless. Other than that, damn these sets is so good, but also so expensive. I will pick the sets which gives me the vehicle's I don't have and two new dinosaurs. So the Brachiosaurus set and Nedry.
Hey Tiago, great video! I wanted to ask if you could make a tutorial video on the mini annoying LEGO machine you made a while back. I really want to see a tutorial!
Definitely gonna get a couple of the brachiosaurus set as you say it's got great parts and I can not believe they actually made a brachiosaurus. I want at least one of all of them minus the 4+ set, I'll probably just bricklink a few of each of the printed tiles for that one. Can't wait for June 1st!
01:21 Peaking dinosaur? Is that like Peking duck? Honeyed and delicious?😂 02:35 Will definitely be piking this set up….but I still wish they’d done the Jeep and the Ford Explorer as Speed Champions sets, TLG are missing a trick here! Speed Champions + Film IPs is a winning combo as the Aston Martin DB5 and Fast and furious sets have shown! Need more film and TV themed Speed champions sets! 12:18 agreed. I think the target audience for this is really adult fans of both LEGO and the original film. Like I said I think in that respect Speed champions style sets would’ve been more appropriate- still get the jeep and the explorer plus a minifigure each. 🤔🤷😂
@@TiagoCatarinoabout the brachiosaurus set, the tree looks weird however I believe that it is intentional since the tree that Alan and the kids spend the night in is a prop, and I am pretty sure if I remember correctly it looks very similar to the Lego one.
maybe just me.....but the t rex head mold really needsds an update....all the dinosaurs looks absolutely spot on compare to the movies....but the t rex just doesn't look right....wish maybe they need to to the mouth the same they did to the velociraptors so the teeth stay inside the mouth.
The T-Rex skeleton is actually closer in size to the classic T-Rex figure and an actual to-scale T-Rex in size, if I'm not mistaken. A T-Rex's arms are about the same size as an adult man's, so the skeleton, or at least its arms, are just about perfect.
I finally got the Brachiosaurus set and the white injection mold marks on the head, neck and legs really surprised me. They’re extremely noticeable and I’m shocked more people aren’t talking about this. I know mold marks are nothing new, but I expected a pristine Dino for $80. Is it too much to expect premium quality at this price point?
Just rewatching your video after getting the Brachiosaurus: I see your big Dino also has white spots as rests from the moulds. I think the quality of the other Dino's is a lot better and sadly the most expensive and largest of them all seem to have white spots on them. I know this is a kids toy but considering the steep price of 84,99 for just 512 pieces I would have expected a bit better quality. Still love my LEGO Dino collection, I placed my Brachiosaurus next to my Duplo Dino Long Necks from 2008 🥰
My take: Dilophosaurus set is the best, Brachiosaurus set is $20 overpriced at best as the legs should move, Visitor Center is just a facade, Raptor Escape is a robbery, Trike set is ok at best but needed the Vet Jeep alongside the Vet.

😂
As someone who has always loved Jurassic park, these sets are awesome despite the “Dinosaur Tax” to the cost.
It's such a piss take
@@piercelawless2654 the set with nedry is the best deal of the bunch
Not even that when the molds for the: Trike, Raptors and Rex have been with LEGO for years now. Those have already been paid off.
It annoys me how expensive the velociraptor escape is, literally the only reason to buy it is for the egg print (if you event want it or collect that stuff) and for Roland tempo
Friend: how did it cost :me everything
2:29 this sequence is so clever, using the lights behind the shelves to resemble lightning exactly from the scene
I think they felt the need to use the frog in every set because the scientists used frog dna to replicate dinosaurs
"We used the complete DNA of a frog to fill in the holes and complete the code"
Probably because it’s the 30th anniversary of the movie so they probably wanted to do a small reference
The big Rex from a couple years back (75936) had a frog hidden inside it, so the joke started there. I love that they kept it going.
Yeah, I like how they put different colored ones in different sets. Now I gotta buy em all, dang it.
they said it was exactly for that lol
I hope they make a Jurassic Park: The Lost World wave, maybe with a Diorama set of the RV scene
If could like this comment x100 ! Imagine the scenes to choose from!
That would be so cool! I really like the lost world so I’d definelty buy them!
Imagine one with the chase in San Francisco, the camp, the raptors on the bushes, and more!

its a very new Mould so iam fine with it but 59,99 would be enough also >,,>
It would have been better if the brachiosaurus had poseable back legs, to recreate when it lifts up to reach the foliage on the tree
I think the extra colors on the Trex skeleton actually make sense. Since it's on display realistically they would need to add different support parts to keep everything held together without muscle
Gotta admit the blue 3 length technic pin in the jaw looks terrible. Shouldve been black
The gray and black parts are fine, but the blue technic pin ruins it

THIS.

There are several sets in the video, be more specific
@@owene2530 my bad, i meant the last one, the visitors center.
LEGO did a great job to make playable sets. Kids gonna love it for sure!
I wish the visitor center had the iconic kitchen. Maybe that will become it's own set?
I love all of these sets, but one set standa out, The Brachiosaurus set is simply amazing
In the vistitor center set in the lab part around 11:34, theres a sticker of a dino that we dont have yet. Hope its an Easter egg for an upcoming set
