Love this! I just subscribed! I am on the same monetization journey and on week 5. I love that Jaxson is willing to help you. I agree on the daily posting. I think it takes away from the quality. I think that works better for shorts. I also agree about not focusing on shorts because it is harder to convert people who watch shorts all the time, to also watch your long form videos.

@@Jaimekennedy52423 I was diagnosed in 2022. It’s tough to spend over 4 decades thinking I’m just lazy and wondering why life is so hard for me. I’m worked as a psych RN for a long time and still didn’t occur to me I had ADHD. 🤦🏼♀️ Dis you also go through grief and anger when you found out?

Yes, I talk about it in a few videos. Long story short 😉 is that when people subscribe to shorts they don’t get notified when you post videos and chances are they aren’t watching longer videos, only shorts. So when a lot of your subs aren’t watching (because they subbed to a short video) then RUclips thinks your videos aren’t interesting to people because even your own subs aren’t watching them. I’ve actually done better since I quit posting shorts. I’ve also learned that shorts were designed for larger channels who are already well established. That’s definitely not me.
@@Simply_Lane thank you for explaining, that makes total sense! I think 86% of my subscribers came from shorts (and most only watch the shorts) so it makes sense that RUclips would see that as my audience not being engaged! It’s a shame they don’t get notified when we post though!
@@nailsbykirsttt sure thing and I agree completely. Most of mine for the first month and a half were from shorts and basically my channel stalled with views on longer videos. Much better the last couple of weeks. Best of luck!
My channel has always been about doing work for others and posting it on my channel because they didn't have a platform to share their videos. I also do alot of drone video's to showcase where i live but now it's about me. Time to do something different
