It makes sense for Ricochet. If he resigned with wwe there’s really nothing they could do to rehab his image. He’s kind of where Ziggler and Caesaro were (minus any real midcard accomplishments). He needs a new environment where he can be more than an undercard guy. Hopefully he doesn’t become a third or fourth guy in a stable when he pops up in AEW.

After certain amount of underwhelming pushes, it’s hard to rehab a guy. Nakamura is another guy who has reached a ceiling that will be tough to break through.
Ricochet will get a fresh start in AEW, for sure. And he has the skills to win over the “we just want wrestling” crowd.
However, I have ZERO faith in Tony Khan’s booking…

@sbz88 it is mandatory for couples that want to stay together. This is a career where you're on the road the majority of the time. If BOTH people are on the road with different companies, that's a huge challenge to a relationship. No loving couple would do that by choice.

@@Lionheartx675 Honestly, it will be, because he'll make more money in AEW. His position on the card doesn't matter at this point, we know he'll never be at the top. At this point, his concern should be purely monetary and nothing else. AEW will pay him more than WWE. Probably 7 figures. If Okada and Ospreay are making 7 figures, he'd have to as well given that his name is bigger than theirs.

Why will it?he will have a gymnastics fight with osprey,which will be incredible if your into that style, story will be nothing though and then ricochet will be wishing he was back in WWE, b at least there he has his girlfriend but in aew he will be doing all his routines in front of empty arenas. to me he's crazy but I'm willing to give it chance, maybe tony surprises me and books him well, Perhaps tony tells a story too so finally one of his dream matches have some substance and I can get behind one thees guy, my issue with ricochet and his type of wrestler like osprey to certain extent is there's never a compelling story, it's either tournaments or let's have a great match, it's old and tired give us some heat let's see richochet come in and go heel or turn osprey from a weird heel and make him real heal, I don't want to see tons of thees face v face matches. GET SOME F,ING HEAT ON YOUR WRESTLERS STOP TURNING EVERY HEEL THAT GETS POPULAR FACE, mjf and swerve both nearly destroyed by lazy booking.
Happy for Ricochet he gave WWE everything and they slapped the Twitter speed title on him.
Looking forward to his AEW run I hope he shows up in New Japan also.
With the Ospreay push, it just makes sense for him to go to AEW. People will buy him as a main-eventer.

If Ricochet is going to AEW, he has a history with a lot of AEW talent. He was trained by Chuck Taylor. He has a history of matches with Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, Michael Nakazawa, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, AR Fox, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, The Young Bucks, Roderick Strong, Christopher Daniels, Kenny Omega, Angélico, Rey Fenix, Keith Lee, Tag Team champs With Matt Sydal, Trent Beretta, Will Ospreay, Johnny TV, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (2019) - with Aleister Black (Malakai Black). Not to mention his history with NJPW talent. He won 6 man titles with David Finlay and Satoshi Kojima & Hiroshi Tanahashi and Ryusuke Taguchi. He would plug right into that roster. Will have to see what happens. I'm sure a lot of AEW talent would love to have him on the roster.
Just saying; The House of Black is returning to TV next Saturday, maybe he debuts there to feud with Malakai. I enjoyed watching them as a tag team in WWE.
Then again TK needs to book his talent better, HE NEEDS HELP CREATIVITY

If I were him, I'd be a freelancer. Just work wherever he wants and not be tied down to a single company. Cause Tony has brought in a lot of "game changers" that start out hot then cool off really fast.
If he does indeed go to AEW i hope there is more for him outside of the obvious Ospreay matchup. Would hate to see him sign with them, get the usual 'AEW-rub' for a couple of weeks before being sent to Rampage or Collision to just float around.
AEW have such a large roater as it is already.
He could either make it work like Swerve did and finally break out or he could end up being another Action Andretti.
Ricochet isnt known for his character work - so hes really gonna have to do something special to stand out on the AEW roster from the wealth of other excellent in ring workers.

Man Ricochet really did look like a can not miss main event superstar when WWE signed him. I knew they'd screw him up a little because it's WWE but this is a good looking guy in great shape who was a walking best bout machine before going to WWE. And the guy can do things that no one else can in the ring. When he did that flip out of the ring and landed on his feet in front of Velveteen Dream in NXT I had to immediately rewind it because I wasn't sure what I just saw 😐
The problem with Ricochet is his promos, I'll always remember Drew cutting him off and Ricochet looking like he was about to cry like a total geek. This wasn't a work, this was a shoot.
The sad part is I can't remember one memorable match of Ricochet. Massive botch by WWE

AEW has been full for a while (not that that’ll stop TK buying another shiny toy). I feel New Japan is probably the best place for him to go. It could help rejuvenate both parties.

Who cares? "I can't wait to watch Raw to see Ricochet this week" is something said by nobody. He won't be missed one iota. He'll probably be overpaid to go to the money mark's company, get a one week pop and fade away into the background just like every other "gamechanger" they signed. His wrestling style is nothing special in AEW and is already being done better by Ospreay.

Why would he go to AEW Dave? Is it just because they have TV? They have one of the most bloated rosters in history. Why would anyone who wants to make a mark on the industry go there? The only reason to go there is because Tony has been allowed to play with his trust fund unsupervised. We would all do it but don't take the money then claim you're trying to better the business or have some noble cause. Ricochet and Ospreay, rekindling a decade old feud from the indies. That's the best way to draw people in for AEW, a tumbling routine from both that ends in a superhero pose. It screams 2016, while AEW only looks and books towards the future.
