    thanks for the resources. Passed with 80%. I just want to leave a comment here for others studying to take it...there were a bunch of questions on there that in my own study I had not come across & was not prepared for... make sure you know about: functions of a plane's rudder (what it does), know about aft & how weight in relation to it can influence the aircraft, hyperventilation, & shapes of clouds & what that means (rain cloud etc) nimbus clouds, lenticular cloud. Hope this helps others. I'd recommend studying the 'Remote Pilot Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Study Guide' by the FAA it is 88 pages (good stuff)

      I flagged the same, especially because (A) says "Document of Compliance," which I don't think is a thing. I suspect FAA put that in there intentionally to throw us off so that we'd confuse it with "Declaration of Compliance." That said, I do very much appreciate this resource you provided. I used it just prior to taking my test and several of the tips you provide here helped me out. Much obliged!

    I took the test recently after watching several videos and taking several online practice tests. I would say the actual time I devoted to study was about 6 hours. Passed with a 90%+. Not a single question from the practice tests I took was in the actual test. The actual test was trickier with wording in my opinion; that or the practice tests I found online simply use slightly different language. It often left me a little uncertain about answers. There were also several questions I never saw covered in any depth in those videos and practice tests, or covered at all, resulting in me having to guess. (Almost certainly the bulk of those I got wrong.)
    That being said I was able, from using that material and doing my own research to fill in perceived gaps, to get a passing grade.
    Good luck.
    Edit: I came across at least one site that gave me a bogus low score on a practice test in an apparent effort to sell its test prep. Some also had grammatical errors and the questions and answers seemed dubious.

    This is a great tool. It's definitely helpful, so thank you. It's pretty obvious from these questions that the FAA just doesn't want people to get the license. Especially when they throw in gramatically incorrect vocabulary, like calling it "Low Density" Altitude vs. what they should have called it "Low Altitude" Density. It just seems like they intentionally reversed it so that you would get the answer wrong even if you fully understand that air density decreases with altitude and that would obviously have a negative impact on prop-efficiency.

Once I want to earn money from it though, I need it correct? So I need to register my Avata 2 but not my Mini 4 if I am understanding correctly. Why is the air density counterintuitive?

    • @zxmusefabrication6134
      @zxmusefabrication6134 Год назад +2

      It's intuitive when viewing the concept from the angle of altitude/height rather than pressure. Considering most aircraft won't be flying at heights where they lose air pressure to a critical degree (such as space flight), air pressure doesn't play as much of a role in flying as altitude does. As such, the FAA bases the air pressure notation around altitude instead of pressure.

    The wording of the phrase "High Density Altitude" is extremely confusing. The literal meaning of the phrase as written is that such an altitude (whatever that may be) IS "High (or low) Density"! After reading your answer, it sounds like to me the phrase would be better written, "The air density at a high Altitude vs one at a low Altitude." No wonder this test is so difficult to pass! (And that's only in the first few questions!) .....

    High density air = thin and low density air = thick?? i'm not sure you know what density means... or maybe the FAA doesn't. if i'm wrong here, please eli5?

    • @theweddingdepartment
      @theweddingdepartment Год назад +1

      High density refers to air at a higher altitude which contain fewer molecules of air. And low density has more molecules, closer to the ground. This is the way the FAA sees it and so it's important to know what they mean and how they define air.

    One cannot depend on RUclips to study for 107. The FAA is hip to all this and to reliably pass, one must know all the material. There are multiple tests, each very different. The one I took was heavy on airspace. The one my friend took, very little on airspace.
