Exercises of IR + ER + Abduction clubbed with dead hanging for 10 seconds and more regularly helped in getting rid of pain and strengthening rotator cuff. Whereas my MRI report shows Thick tear in Supraspinatus rotator cuff but when Orthopedic surgeon clinically examined opined that don't go with MRI only I need physiotherapy and exercises

These are good helpful exercise and movements. I used the suggested ones for my sciatic nerve pain, which was so severe I could not walk without several aleves and crutches. Less than a month later the pain was completely gone and that was two years ago. I walk normal. The exercise where the doctor sits on the table and inverts his arms, can only be done by someone who has little or no muscles in his or her chest and arms. So I cannot do that one but all the others I am trying and hope for the very best.

I wish I had seen this when my shoulder first started to hurt and I experienced some weakness in lifting (nearly a year ago), maybe I could have prevented what happened the other day when I lifted a heavy box of cat litter. I believe it's got to be some kind of tear. So painful! But who can afford to even go get an MRI? I'm using icepacks and naproxen, waiting for some pain relief, then will start doing these. 05:55 - My shoulder makes a clicking sound when I try to stretch the back of my shoulder like this. What should I do? The pain seems to have radiated out down the right side of my body but I am not sure if this is because of tight cervical neck muscles as doing a few of the exercises associated with relieving cervical radiculopathy has helped ease some of the scapula pain as well as neck tension headaches that I have been having. I do weightlifting but have stopped since I started having this scapular pain. The clicking sound also happens when I bring the injured arm over my back and stretch it my pulling on the elbow medially, but that seems to always provide some sort of temporary relief for some reason once it clicks.

My doctor said I have many tears in different spots that I would need surgery but the surgeon said to try therapy first do you think this will help.
Cant wait to be back to normal is sickening how someone else can rear end you and do so much damage

They cannot advise you on your particular Healthcare. They can only give examples of things that would generically help a specific entrapment or tear in the shoulder.

With a supraspinatus tear is it ok to do close grip push-ups? I can generally do these without pain, but want to have some chest workout.

Like ive said before these arent miracles. They are not MD's. They are just physical therapists. Most likely they go to school for a year. They do no residency or anything like a doctor in training. Of course theyre going to say there's a cure for everything. They just dont want you going to see a surgeon and most likely having surgery. They want you to go to them or any other therapist so that you shell out all your
money from your copays and a good portion from the insurance companies.
Please dont think they are doctors because they are not. They could never have the amount of skill and knowledge an MD or Surgeon.

Those statements are blatantly false. My granddaughter is starting in a 6 year physical therapy program in the fall at St. Louis University. When she’s done, she will have a Ph.d in Physical Therapy. I’ll wager she’ll know much more about the joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles than an MD! Who do surgeons send their patients to for their recovery process, which often takes 6-12 months?

At 10:56. The external rotator exercise. I can't do that one. At all. Will the other exercises strengthen my ability to externally rotate? Supraspinatus and infraspinatus impingement due to RA bone damage.
