Lyrics: [Verse 1] My cellular phone Fused with my skin and my bone These days I feel like a drone Talking through my microphone [Pre-Chorus] But my friends don't do it like me My friends don't live life to the beat My friends don't wanna see it like me My friends might be, my friends might be [Chorus] All my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off (Won't someone set me free) 'Cause all my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off [Verse 2] I met a lion inside a zoo He looked at me and said, "What's up dude? I remember a time when we shared this land Now we both got shackles on our hands" I said, "Wait a minute, I'm not locked up You're the one behind bars all cooped up" He looked at me and when he thought it through He said, "I am a prisoner, just like you" [Pre-Chorus] But my friends don't do it like me My friends don't live life to the beat My friends don't wanna see it like me My friends might be, my friends might be [Chorus] All my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off (Won't someone set me free) 'Cause all my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off [Bridge] Can you set me free, set me free, set me free If I fall asleep, fall asleep, fall asleep Will you set me free, set me free, set me free From these dreams I have Won't someone set me free [Outro] All my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off (Won't someone set me free) 'Cause all my friends are robots They got real jobs they can't turn off

Sigh... damn, this one hits me hard. Why do people gotta be so... chained to their lives? I don't get it, they can't break free of the monotony, the same tone, again and again and again. Every time I try to push for us to break out, break free... they say they're busy, when I know that they aren't so busy that they couldn't make it work, or that they could choose to lose their chains in exchange for something more. I just want to breathe life for once, instead of this breath of death that people tell me is life. I don't accept this is the life I'm chained to, I deny their hold on me, but I'm too scared to be alone, if only I had friends that weren't robots.
My youtube mix just stopped at this song and its been going for like 3 hrs now... I think I need to give the internet a break now this is probably some kind of message

there's definitely some truth to what you said... if you want to find out what we're all about, check us out on instagram! --> instagram.com/arrestedyouth_/
A bit late, I know, however the song is about people being dumbed down and just going along with everything the government and this society tells them to, rather than them actively questioning things and critically thinking about things.
Martijn Sabel trapnation has been amazing in supporting this project, yes :) but we are our own artist. if you want to learn more about us, check us out on instagram @arrestedyouth_
huh... He litterly said this in the comment section: Arrested Youth is a new alternative act I'm developing with a friend right now Great music btw! I forgot to mention that earlier
And two thousand years ago Jesus said: Now when Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. And He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5) Oh how the youth seeks approval, yet not knowing who themselves are. How the youth cries out for order in their life, yet they are always quick for rebellion. How the youth feels poor in spirit, yet indulges in things that are deadly to the spirit. Those who have eyes to read, read. “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21), so why have you kept your treasures in places where it ages and rusts? Because so will your heart age and rust along with it. You rise up because you wish to change the world, through "freedom" and "self-expression," yet you end up following the steps of the world, being changed by the world. You seek nothing new. Your attempts to be freed are flawed just like your spirit is flawed as well, and all of this, not because of particular situations in your childhood or teenage years, but because of sin. You walk like the blind and you listen to the blind and all of this to lose your soul not just here on earth but for eternity also. Jesus gave man a path to walk on, one that cleans the unclean, one that will give life to the spirit. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”, and this, free to all who are seeking truth and not mere pleasure or temporal happiness. God wants you to live, but in spirit, because just as your flesh will one day die, so will your spirit die because of sin. Sin is what has you in heavy chains, sin is what has led to your misery, sin is what made you rebel against God, who is a God of Love. So here you say "I hate you God" but then you cry "I want love...". So I repeat, the blind will follow the blind, not knowing what they say or think, but simply reacting to the flesh. Unable to discern sin which is spiritual, because they are dead in spirit. Let's say you broke the law, and you have a list of fines. But, the judge tells you, "Well, it seems that a man has paid your fines. So, despite your crime, you're free to go, and this still being legal and just." You can be set free from the world, through Jesus who died for you, He shed blood for your freedom, Jesus paid your fine, so you won't be counted in the judgment to come by a Holy and Angry God. But this, only to those who surrender everything to Jesus, following him and repenting of the path you’ve walked on praising sin. This is the choice all men have to do. You are either a slave to sin and this world waiting for eternal condemnation in hell to come. Or a free man living a holy life, waiting for the Kingdom of God to Come. Choose. Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
My cellular phone
Fused with my skin and my bone
These days I feel like a drone
Talking through my microphone
[Pre-Chorus]
But my friends don't do it like me
My friends don't live life to the beat
My friends don't wanna see it like me
My friends might be, my friends might be
[Chorus]
All my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
(Won't someone set me free)
'Cause all my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
[Verse 2]
I met a lion inside a zoo
He looked at me and said, "What's up dude?
I remember a time when we shared this land
Now we both got shackles on our hands"
I said, "Wait a minute, I'm not locked up
You're the one behind bars all cooped up"
He looked at me and when he thought it through
He said, "I am a prisoner, just like you"
[Pre-Chorus]
But my friends don't do it like me
My friends don't live life to the beat
My friends don't wanna see it like me
My friends might be, my friends might be
[Chorus]
All my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
(Won't someone set me free)
'Cause all my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
[Bridge]
Can you set me free, set me free, set me free
If I fall asleep, fall asleep, fall asleep
Will you set me free, set me free, set me free
From these dreams I have
Won't someone set me free
[Outro]
All my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
(Won't someone set me free)
'Cause all my friends are robots
They got real jobs they can't turn off
This helps
This song is pure fire 🔥

While i love the vibe of the song, the lyrics aren't really my thing and kinda annoy me. It's an important issue but it's really on the nose
