I remember warning a few dudes about this 20 years ago in my first few times in Asia, was completely wasting my time. There are certain life lessons that one can only learn the hard way. This is great information, but won't help a single dude make an informed decision about moving to Asia. They all cut ties, blowup and struggle for the rest of their lives, it's ugly.

I’m renting my house out. I think that is a good idea as for the Tax. That’s the kids problem. 😫

A great point but keeping a family home makes it even more difficult convincing the ATO you are a non- tax resident 😮

Not to mention the bureaucratic BS involved with it becoming a CGT liability after it's been rented for 6 years after living in it

    AUSTRALIA ..
Around 40+% on fat welfare payments...
And another 40 % public self servents..
96% of your income is lost to accumulate taxation

It’s easy to overthink anything. Nothing is guaranteed in life. If it’s solely about money then you likely won’t be happy anywhere.
