Thank you for watching the entire Portal series! This was one of my favorites to write, and the first to star my wife as the only main character. It also ties Portal's Chell to Raft's Trillian & Becky. There are a few differences between this compilation and the individual episodes. 1. I added music back into the Portal 2 sections. They were originally taken out to help with editing, but I have now added the music back in. 2. We added in a scene where we address Chell's potato project. 3. I changed the scene with the moon. Originally we had Chell "hold her breath" but people complained about this not being accurate, so it was slightly changed. While normally I'm against changes to videos that are already completed, these were small changes that I was fine making.

Fun fact: you gain an achievement named “The part where he kills you” And the song playing during that event is “Portal 2 OST - The part where he kills you”
Cave: “Happy birthday honey! I got your cake.” “But I asked for pieeee.” Cave: “Enough of that. Cake is superior to pie in every way. Can a pie start a revolution? I think not. Cake did though. So eat your cake.” “Pie’s funnier. Also more aerodynamic. Now get me my birthday pie!” Cave: “That’s it. You are going to live with your mother. Maybe she can test your lack of taste. See what anomaly formed on your tongue to say such insane nonsense.”
My favorite bit in this whole thing was: “Was that my stomach? I must be Really hungry.” “THAT, was an earthquake.” “Glados infused potato, Glados infused potâto.”
Nobody seems to notice that line, “You will be baked, and then there will be cake.” I love that line so much i noticed it on my first playthrough kinda
“Wow, that’s pretty bold coming from a robot that just put me in a room with a bunch of (admittedly adorable) self aware machine guns” that line made me laugh 😂
I don’t know if anyone else agrees, but this voice actress’ portrayal of Chell sounded a lot like Candace from Phineas & Ferb, and I absolutely adore it! 😂😂
Did you know Chell actually did take part in “Bring Your Daughter to Work Day”? She did that absolutely massive potato which is supposed to resemble GLaDoS
I like to think that Chell can talk, and she does, but none of the robots at Aperture have ears, so can’t hear her. They just communicate through radio or whatever.

So, with that bit toward the end about Black mesa, should we expect a What If Gordon Talked video at some point, or is Chel just foreshadowing what happens? Personally, I would be all for a WIGT series, if only to see how you'd talk to the G-Man.
im not sure, on one hand 'what if gordon talked' is kinda one of the og of 'what is blank silent protagonist thinking/saying', and also been done to death, but again it is a classic, and it's always nice to see some new takes on it, like what waynradio tv and friends did in hlvrai after so many years of just freeman's mind. either way, i can understand if Press start to laugh ends up not doing it, but if he did it anyway i think he's be able to make it fun and fresh

Another fun fact: In the level where Wheatley talks in an accent if you use cheats and activate noclip then use the button the door actually opens and there is nothing behind it. I checked

@Daeneiracorn unfortunately by the time Chell was at Bring Your Daughter to Work Day, Caroline was shoved into a computer and Cave was dead. Her Dad does seemingly work there but it is neither of those two.

You know I don’t think Wheatley is _that_ stupid He came up with the plan to stop GLaDOS from killing Chell (even though Chell had to iron out the details) He also learned from GLaDOS’s mistakes with the bomb shields and exploding button Sure, he’s no genius. But he does have some good ideas sometimes

This is excellent, absolutely hilarious stuff here, I personally view this as part of the whole freeman's mind universe because the quality of the jokes is on par with them, and I mean that in the best way
It kind of already exists in the form of Freeman's mind, but it would be cool to see a fresh new take on Gordon Freeman's personality. Also from my understanding Freeman's mind was never fully completed... Nevertheless, Press start to laugh would have a lot to live up to if they did half-life.
I don't believe I'll do Half-Life for this reason. I wasn't aware of Freeman's Mind before I started doing this whole thing, but became aware of it through comments. And frankly, I think I'm okay letting someone else have Half-Life. I don't need to do EVERY series :-)
5:19 Okay I'm liking the sass so far... but considering the "Bring your daughter to work day" and the implication that Chell was the daughter of an employee, further solidified by Portal 2 with her past science project with her name on it, she would recognize SOMETHING about the place. So everything seems out of character. I know it's a parody but I feel like Freeman's Mind did a better job of capturing the same comedic energy while still managing to fit in with the lore. I'll keep going a bit maybe Chell had amnesia or something starting out but so far it's kind of going against the lore, which just makes it less funny to me if that makes sense?
Just gonna be honest, if you’re looking for episodes that follow the lore, I’ll let you know now that this is probably not the channel for you. We don’t follow lore. Most of the time we outright ignore it or poke fun at it. It’s just simply not something we have an interest in.
Chell's been in suspended relaxation for several thousands of years, way longer than what would be considered "safe". Amnesia is 100% understandable after that.

If I was in Chell’s shoes. I would be this chatter box version of her xD This is very well executed with how funny the lines are! Also your wife voice acting Chell is spectacular honestly!
A mistake you made was that Chell has no reason to think GladOS is a robot as that is not revealed until a lot later into the game. Until then, as far as Chell is aware, it's just an annoying computer AI and so she would not refer to it as a robot.
@@CountDooku420 Only uneducated people, and there is nothing to show Chell is uneducated, quite the opposite if she is to keep solving increasingly harder tests. A robot is an automaton, something that moves under it's own volition. It does not need intelligence to do so. Think of robots that construct vehicles, no intelligence in them at all, they just follow fixed programmes. An AI could control a robot, be the brain of a robot, but that does not mean it is synonymous to a robot. An AI inside a robot can be called a robot because that's what it's contained in but you still can not call all AI's robots. Until you knew the AI is inside a robot shell you would just call it an AI. If it sounded human, unlike GladOS, then you could also just assume the AI was human until you see it's not (assuming it has intelligence equal to or higher than the average human)!
I would love the continuation of this series. If not with Portal 3 (if it will exist in this timeline) then maybe some Portal mods like Portal Stories Mel or Portal reloaded or Portal Thinking with the Time Machine.

Let me tell you, as someone who never watched your content, I was pleasently surprised by how good this was. Great voice acting, surprisingly funny, etc. I never thought a talking Chell would work but I guess I was wrong!

This was great! Amazing voice acting, it was perfect for the character I feel. It also felt like Chell was just casually going insane and it was really fun to watch, which make sense when you’re all alone, listening to a robotic voice, in liminal and mostly unchanging rooms. Also, question: do you plan on doing Half-Life and Black Mesa? There isn’t enough of those, and I’d love to see how that might go.
As we know, PSTL's Subnautica timeline is connected with the Raft timeline. The existence of Becky in this saga suggests that the Portal and Subnautica universe are connected, which, suggests this is an alternate timeline. As we know, the Portal and Half-Life timelines are connected. This being an alternate timeline suggests the Combine either never invaded Earth, or never existed, which means the events of Half-Life never took place, which suggests the resonance cascade never happened, which suggests either the Xen crystal was never discovered, or the test never took place, which suggests the military never got involved, which suggests the events of Opposing Force and Blue Shift never occurred. PSTL, you are both extremely contradictive and a complete genius. This timeline is more tangled than the Entry Point timeline, and I love it. It is 12:09 AM and I'm spending my time on a comment that doesn't make much sense. God help me.

The real issue is Wheatley doesn't iron out flaws. Like the pipes and such that Chel CONSTANTLY used to get through his traps.

It kind of already exists in the form of Freeman's mind, but it would be cool to see a fresh new take on Gordon Freeman's personality. Also from my understanding Freeman's mind was never fully completed... Nevertheless, Press start to laugh would have a lot to live up to if they did half-life.
I don't believe I'll do Half-Life for this reason. I wasn't aware of Freeman's Mind before I started doing this whole thing, but became aware of it through comments. And frankly, I think I'm okay letting someone else have Half-Life. I don't need to do EVERY series :-)

5:19 Okay I'm liking the sass so far... but considering the "Bring your daughter to work day" and the implication that Chell was the daughter of an employee, further solidified by Portal 2 with her past science project with her name on it, she would recognize SOMETHING about the place. So everything seems out of character. I know it's a parody but I feel like Freeman's Mind did a better job of capturing the same comedic energy while still managing to fit in with the lore. I'll keep going a bit maybe Chell had amnesia or something starting out but so far it's kind of going against the lore, which just makes it less funny to me if that makes sense?
Just gonna be honest, if you’re looking for episodes that follow the lore, I’ll let you know now that this is probably not the channel for you. We don’t follow lore. Most of the time we outright ignore it or poke fun at it. It’s just simply not something we have an interest in.

A mistake you made was that Chell has no reason to think GladOS is a robot as that is not revealed until a lot later into the game. Until then, as far as Chell is aware, it's just an annoying computer AI and so she would not refer to it as a robot.

@@CountDooku420 Only uneducated people, and there is nothing to show Chell is uneducated, quite the opposite if she is to keep solving increasingly harder tests.
A robot is an automaton, something that moves under it's own volition. It does not need intelligence to do so. Think of robots that construct vehicles, no intelligence in them at all, they just follow fixed programmes.
An AI could control a robot, be the brain of a robot, but that does not mean it is synonymous to a robot. An AI inside a robot can be called a robot because that's what it's contained in but you still can not call all AI's robots. Until you knew the AI is inside a robot shell you would just call it an AI. If it sounded human, unlike GladOS, then you could also just assume the AI was human until you see it's not (assuming it has intelligence equal to or higher than the average human)!

I have a feeling that all the robots are the people who accepted the offer.
This was great! Amazing voice acting, it was perfect for the character I feel. It also felt like Chell was just casually going insane and it was really fun to watch, which make sense when you’re all alone, listening to a robotic voice, in liminal and mostly unchanging rooms.
Also, question: do you plan on doing Half-Life and Black Mesa? There isn’t enough of those, and I’d love to see how that might go.
As we know, PSTL's Subnautica timeline is connected with the Raft timeline. The existence of Becky in this saga suggests that the Portal and Subnautica universe are connected, which, suggests this is an alternate timeline. As we know, the Portal and Half-Life timelines are connected. This being an alternate timeline suggests the Combine either never invaded Earth, or never existed, which means the events of Half-Life never took place, which suggests the resonance cascade never happened, which suggests either the Xen crystal was never discovered, or the test never took place, which suggests the military never got involved, which suggests the events of Opposing Force and Blue Shift never occurred. PSTL, you are both extremely contradictive and a complete genius. This timeline is more tangled than the Entry Point timeline, and I love it.
