I have been eating mullet in fajitas for a while now and it is by far my favourite way to enjoy mullet. I am definitely going to try your precise recipe for them. Awesome video dude, I'd score your avocado 9/10. 👍
Love mullet Dan. Usually do them really simple seasoned and baked in the oven with a squeeze of lemon when done. But definitely going to give this a go as I can't help salivating. Looks delicious
A little late to the party here, but what a great idea to use lemonade in the batter! I always do a beer batter when I fry my fish, but I think you’ve just changed my tune. Thanks Dan!
Love the video, I'm going to try this recipe soon. I went for a short dive around the older burnt down pier a few weeks ago. It was great fun and of course the one time I don't bring a Spear Gun all the fish are out to say hello. I also spoke to another spearo I met diving that area, who had apparently shot a cod which I was surprised about.
Awesome to see you back at the vids man! I'm actually just about to start up my own channel so love seeing you doing this so well, you're a great example!
Great vid Daniel and tacos look good! Going to try that fish batter recipe on the local species here in Southern California. I also recommend lightly toasting the tortilla on a hot skillet for a couple minutes. If you do it right, you can get the tortilla to soften up for wrapping while also adding a crunch to the exterior! Make sure to flip over to other side every 10-20 seconds depending on how hot the skillet is.
Hey Daniel, nice catch, my favourite part after catching is cooking, I'm saving this video of yours as I'm going to try your recipe, thanks for sharing 👍👍
The Mann is back with some kickass fishing and a bomb recipe! Never heard of grapefruit guac before, but sounds and looks delicious in that fish taco. Love your videos man!
Watching from France (PAYÉ BASQUE) just found your videos the last couple of days.. Loving it. It's so cool you don't discriminate over fish, it's been my way of spearfishing for the last 12 years, well done. And I will try your recipe, yum!
Great cook up mate😍it’s why we all go diving, I’m doing something similar myself atm, you beat me to it 🤦♂️I was at Brighton pier quite a few yrs ago now but loved every minute of it😎
Lovely Video again Dan, I used to eat Grey Mullet all the time when I lived in Gibraltar. Would go and fish for them with my dad so it's nice to see that someone else also enjoys these fish, as I think they are highly underrated 👍
I simply bake mine with a tiny bit of butter on top salt and black pepper, and put it in a taco with sour cream, fresh avocado, tomato, onion and red cabbage. healthy and delicious you should try that. Altough the mullet i catch might have a much lighter flavor because of the location in the Mediterranean
I shot my first "real" fish today, a gold mullet. Before that, I picked only easy targets like octopus and flatfish. As soon as I had finished diving, I looked if you had a video on mullets. I absolutely love your content!
I have been there one time for a sales training course. I had never the minimal idea to enter in such a water , hehehehe! Very coraugeos from your side!
Nice to see you back again bro! 👌🏽🤌🏽🐟 Here the mullets are just delicious, we used to eat them at breakfast, boiled with just salt and boiled cassava. Or fried, they tastes good but better when are in season that are fatty. Nice video as always Daniel!
@@DanielMann Yeah Dan, bit of a buggar not being able to get in the water as the Crays have shown up and the people who live in the right areas can go and get them. I suppose that's a first world problem, I cant complain as my health is all good.
I was exactly on that spot at the beginning of September (with my son). Regrettably, water was murky and visibility was less than 1 meter. I've been in the water for 2h and half, hoping to have a better visibility, with no luck. Next week temperatures look ok. If you are planning to go there again and you'd like to share the travel expenses and a fish and chips at Captains, you'll be more than welcome. I live in London.
This was the 1st of September actually. Visibility is very dependant on the tides & prevailing winds for the days prior to diving. It doesn’t get clean that often but always a fun dive.
In Florida mullets are caught by the dozens with a cast net, usually for bait. I’m in Canada catching nothing at the moment. Perspective is a M.F. Always nice to see your vids, best regards m8
Gday mate. I just purchased a couple of innegra fin blades by DiveR. I was wondering if you may have some experiences to share for drilling it properly and secure the holes as I am planning to fit it into my Mares Razor foot pocket. Thanks again for your videos, I keep watching it in loops, specially during lockdowns. Cheers
Hey bro Dan, I'm always watching your video's new or old. Especially we same hobby as a spearman I really like your episode bro, hopefully someday will you help me as a professional spearman, God bless you always bro where ever you are.
Hi tried your taco delight yesterday evening with a Bass caught from Brighton pier from an October dive.It was delicious will try it with a mullet next time. Thanks for the tops tips and great channel. If you are ever down this way do drop a line if you want a dive buddy. I'm also a Southern hemisphere transplant but from South Africa... Keep up the diving stoke.
Great video….keep em coming. Since you don’t have shark issues there, do you ever chum to get the fish gathered close for spearing? We chum in the florida keys a bit before going in, it helps draw in the groupers. But unfortunately we also get sharks…..be safe!
I am just wondering about the 50/50 guacamole to fish ratio.... of course it tastes good! Ha, Just teasing. Thanks for keeping us entertained, you are the best!
Mullet in the Adriatic, not a bad meat, a little chewy, depends on the taste, in any case far better than farmed fish, I catch them if they are big every time there is not much else around.
@@DanielMann head off ,scaled and gutted ,try it , i rather have it in the oven then sea bass , add some semi boiled potatoes into the tray around the mullet before the oven time , then everything in the oven to cook ;) 👌👌
@@DanielMann just a quick tip make sure that black part of the belly or most of it its cleaned ,has it gives a bit of bitterness 🙂 sea salt and pepper at taste 🙂
Done a couple of night dives under there...got a dover sole on one of them lol There is a small wreck not far from the pier guess you might know it? One lad dropped his weight belt as I told him not to trim it too short but he did, so we hit the MOB on the screen and I went back with a bag and found it in 5 mins lol Good times back in the 90's
Hey Dan - I’m curious about those tall structures appearing in the background of the amusement park, about maybe 10km off-shore - do you have any idea what they are ? Awesome vid as always btw, and these tacos looks DELICIOUS 🤤 👌🏼

Red grapefruit is my favourite citrus to eat. Can't get enough of them so thought why not put them in guacamole.
Another wicked video - I learn so much from watching your vids! Thanks Daniel!

Such a unique recipe for each of the parts that make up the tacos, looks flippin delicious! I'll have to give that guacamole recipe a try.
It’s all super simple stuff but comes together beautifully.
Couldn't find any mullet so had to use dirty old coral trout but it seemed to work alright another great video dan nice recipe

I had a mullet from the Mediterranean I brought back from a trip once. Tasted like bass.
Been going nuts on the fish tacos lately
But yours are next level.... respect.
They look good but very simple to do. Can knock them up in 20 minutes if you don’t have too many margaritas!
Love your video's :) keep them coming enjoyed the cooking part as well :)
Cheers!
Looks fantastic! Might have to give that batter a try!
The ritz crackers definitely add something to it!
Hey Danny, if you scrub the sand, the mullets will go crazy arround you.
