Nice video and well done on a double hook up, in the sea and getting one in! Hopefully you’ll be able to bring us some more videos as it’ll be interesting to follow your fishing exploits. All the best 👍
Thanks Matt, I'm struggling for stuff to film now tbh, I don't really think that tight line nymphing for grayling makes for the best of videos, and that's pretty much what I'll be doing all winter! I may give the bass a go with the spinning gear, you tried that on Skye? ATB, Greg.
@ never tried euro nymphing. It’s probably not really suitable/necessary for our small rivers, but i could be wrong. I find i end up wanting to fish upstream dry fly more than anything else. I quite often watch that Old Dominion Trout Bum guy from the states, he makes tight line nymphing look so easy and catches some cracking fish. Similar to that IB & Andy channel the guide from Derbyshire. No never caught a bass or tried for them. The odd one seem to turn up on Skye and I reckon there is a chance of encountering them when sea trouting in the sea. I’d love to catch one one day, fingers crossed 👍
@@highlandfishingdiary8818 Aye, I think some of those rivers the yanks are fishing are so full of fish, the Missouri upper has a fish density of 9000 fish per mile, That's just nuts. Maybe not euro nymphing, but short line dry dropper will be a great way to fish your wee burns, for sure. I met a guy on the clyde estuary last season that said he goes to Tiree and gigha for Bass, Skye must be worth a go too!.
@robertdoesfishing Cheers Robert, had a wee faux pas this week and managed to delete the wrong SD card, so the hill loch vid I thought I had coming is no more. Had a great day on the dry fly as well, was looking forward to editing it. Lesson learned. I'm out nymphing on Ayr tomorrow, I may film that, we'll see. Tight lines buddy.
Nice 1st video bud. I could learn alot fae you eh. 😉 Been years since I've done abit like 🎣 Need tae get back into it sometime. Since I live near a Fishing toon. Does look like glass eh. Looked like the wind picked up abit. Nice wee trout. Should've got it oan a wrap. 😉🐟🌯 Poor dead seal 🦭😔
Cheers mucker! I'm pretty clueless about sea fishing tbh, but where you live will be amazing Pollack fishing off the rocks. And they dugs of yours would wallop that doon. 😊😂
Great 1st video, mate! This is something I'd really like to get more into, but I'm 200 miles too far south😂 Im happy with single hook ups on the rare occasions they come! River fishing for sea trout has been dire in my part of Lancashire this summer. Obviously, west coast, is this firth of Clyde or Ayrshire? Not pushing for precise marks, just curious for future holiday planning 😀 Your channel should do really well, judging by the success of Angling front! Subbed 👍👍
@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 Thanks buddy!. It's the Clyde Estuary, permits from tickers tackle in Helensburgh buddy, although it's the sea really, the area is well controlled by proper bailifs. Our rivers are poor for sea trout too, but this area is fantastic, it's became really popular the last few years. Tight lines!.
I’ve heard some o the auld boiys wilnae wat a line there tae there’s a soothwesterly. Affy choap = fee fish but big yins. Wee choap = mair sea troot but nae leviathans. Guid video this.
There's so many different views on this, tides, winds, guys that only fish it right at the bottom of the tide etc. I've only ever had fish at higher water. I think most of us try to correlate something to a good day, naturally. Thanks for the comment ma freen, looking forward tae a guid catch up.
