@@omniexistus Not a good point actually, since its if you dont have cinematic mode ("grey" video, used for filming Holywood stuf), its better to at least have "bad" colors, cuz @Milo you can bring them back in way you like it in the editor using LUTs or ur own settings and at the end of the day you get a lot better when it comes to both color a sharpness (video&photos) from Mavic mini. Or if you dont want to use editor then you can lower the exposure compensation a bit (Mavic mini) and it will look more saturated.

hi there i recently purchased the dji mavic mini and the spark for a first drone defantly get the dji mavic mini it has a ccontroller so its much easier to fly unless u want to spend an extra 50 pound for the spark. just go for the mini its so much better
I am trying to decide which one to buy. I'm not really fussy about photo quality. But I really would like the "follow me" mode. So still not sure which one is right.
Question, I was about to buy the Mavic Mini so take some blogger videos in my car. The fact that it does not have a follow me option and hand gestures means I would have to keep the awkward controls in my hand at all times and its only for spaces/selfies and not for actual easy footage. Do you think they will update it? What else can I buy? Thank you!!
The Spark is compatible with the DJI Goggles. With interferences, ie in city, in Europe, my Spark FCC hacked has more range than my Mini. One great advantage is that I can quick charge my mini batteries on my QC 3.0 power bank.
Its almost a year since this video and we have the mini 2 now. Honestly the spark's feature set feels much fuller than the minis. Even with 2.7k on my mini I feel the lack of follow me, how awesome would it have been to have such a feature? The fact that the mini 2 doesn't even have it is just a slap in the face for the consumer. I guess this is why they're the minis
I think I will wait a year to see where JDI takes the Mini before I change my Spark for one.. I use Red Waypoint Pro with my Spark and can do offline missions to make better use of the flight time.. 99% of my viewing is on my laptop that can't make use of 4K because the screen is only 1600x900 resolution and 1080p looks the best.. If I need more flight time then I also have a Fimi X8 SE, with way more features than the Mini.. The most desirable feature of a drone to me is the ability to utilize waypoints.. I don't generally fly my drones out of sight so extreme distance is of little value to me.. I don't think that DJI listened to their customer base - all we wanted was a foldable Spark with longer lasting battery.. Instead they created the Mini knowing well that most will dump the Mini and eventually upgrade.. For entry level beginners I think that (Eachine EX4 Aurora, or JJRC X12, or C-FLY Faith 3-axis Gimbal) is a viable choice over the Mini, for 1/2 the price and more features and similar flight time.. Only lacking in video quality which is still very usable and not lagging too far behind and with a little post processing can be improved upon to a very satisfactory level..
There was no size comparo when unfolded ? The Mini is lighter (than the Spark), and quite a bit bigger when unfolded . . . wind is killing them, lots of blow aways happening. Mini has motor power problems with Li-ion 2s battery, uncontrolled descents, and pitch (attitude) problems when trying to RTH into wind = it blows away even easier. I'll hold out for a good while until sorted . . . and I hope DJI sorts it out, I'd love one for travel, sub 250g makes many countries a lot easier to go to and fly.
@@isantaairlines2246 yes, many lose their minis like that, not enough power to keep up in wind too strong. Some simply go too high where wind can be much stronger, if it starts blowing away bring down lower to escape high wind.

My spark is solid. I crashed multiple times going too fast in sport mode with no damage. I'm tempted to upgrade because of the longer flight time/distance and better camera but the reduced features make me realize this is not a spark upgrade... we would need to get the Air 2 for that at twice the price.
I haven’t bought and used drone before and considering to get one, which one is more suitable for new beginner with no experience on drone and picturing and landscape videoing are the key purpose? Thank you
Spark owner here.... I am actually thinking about getting a Mavic Mini because of the fly time. For you, its cheaper and actually available on DJI website.... go with the Mini, but if you want to pay more and hunt around for the Spark, its pretty awesome regardless. Happy Flying!
Plans and simple spark is becoming an older and older drone. Call me crazy, but I feel the the sparks connectivity has become worse and worse and worse. Upgraded to the new drone even with the lack of features. Looking forward to being able to fly more

@@cringeman114 Mini only uses Fly app, not as featured and Go4 . . . Fly could REALLY use the attitude indicator, as it isn't good in wind (lots of losses happening).

Distanta de zbor, e relativa, deoarece in genreal nu ai nevoie sa zbori la 1 km departare cand faci video. Una peste alta nu prea sunt hotarat daca sa imi vand spark-ul si sa trec la Mini.

Yes, but the Mini footage can be changed to better colors, however the Spark can't film sharper.

I think I will get the spark purely because of the follow mode. It is weird that the newer and better drone does not but it is what it is.
Mini wins sometimes, spark wins sometimes. I like both.
I’m gonna upgrade but I don’t think I’m gonna go with the Mavic mini. It seems like it’s an overall step back imo.
Keep your spark or go with the Air 2 for an upgrade. The Spark is loaded with features whereas the Mini is like a newer car, but the base model.

They won't update the follow me option. An alternative is the Mavic Air 2, if you want cheaper but with follow me buy the Spark

I have a Spark and I will NOT be "upgrading" to the Mavic Mini. Instead I'll save up my coin and pop for the Mavic air 2. Now THAT is an upgrade.
I have both and chose to fly the Spark much more. They were both put to shame by the Mini 2.
