      @@HelenandDave we got a swift alpine 2. It’s 2 yrs old. Since having it home we have noticed a few minor issues, which you would expect. As an engineer I have very high standards 😂, so I’m going to sort them myself, then take it back for the repairs. We have been camping for the last few years, whilst saving to buy the caravan. We went to the NEC this year, with the plan to buy a caravan, but the ones we were looking at, didn’t look as good as they did online. But we liked the swift 2 birth caravan. It wasn’t on our list and just out of our budget, so we walked away from the NEC with no caravan and decided to hold out another year and save some more. Then my farther in-law found this one online, that night, well within budget and had everything on our must have list. As it was well below our budget, the savings have started already for its replacement in a few years time.

      @@mlevinlevington that’s brilliant Martin! We bought our caravan privately and saved ourselves a small fortune plus it was full of everything we needed including a £1k awning. Had that van gone to a dealer, it would have been stripped bare and £3k put on the price. Hope you have lots of fun 👍 Helen & Dave

    Great to see how you both load your caravan, we’ve literally picked up our new caravan, well 5 years old but new to us, and are in the process of loading ours. Great content as ever. Every trip seems to find out the storage cock ups, such as sharp knives in the draw which always seem to be sharp side up. The gas kettle which seemed the right call but now realise electric is more sensible most of the time. The next purchase will be a toaster, to much stress watching the gas grill go from cold to the heat of the sun in milliseconds....any recomendations would be well received. Thanks for all your hard work filming & editing.

    Hi Dave & Helen, Have you ever looked into the possibility of converting the front non-opening corner cupboards into opening ones? Having just had three days away in our 580 we found it very frustrating that there is storage space behind there but the front blanking panel obviously doesn't open.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    • @HelenandDave
      @HelenandDave 4 месяца назад +2

      Hi David & Rachel, it’s something we’ve looked at before but a friend who is an excellent carpenter told us that the panel would need to be cut down and cutting it could damage the finish and then it would look awful. However, some one suggested unscrewing the brackets holding it on from behind to remove the panel and then applying magnets just to pull the panel off as required. Agree though, it’s a waste of space as it is. Hope you’re both well. Helen & Dave 👍
