Some would even call that trip-hop, doesn't matter so much... It's got plenty of groove, nice textures and could be dropped on the dancefloor with great effect I reckon.
it's glitch, it's microhouse, it's minimal techno, it's IDM. all of the above, none of the above. or maybe it's just Kit fuckin Clayton! that's what matters.
well the thing is when this was released we were all on the "wow check out how much these beats and rhythms are being fucking smashed" style, where as now there had been so much boring "idm" and shit the last 20 (yes 20, fuck) years its like now we are all like "wow check how dancy this shit actually was".
Quite unbelievable that MTV used this track for a commercial, I'm curious to know who was the man behind such decision... of course one with nice taste
@hoptenon Electronica isn't a real genre. Since this track was released on the most famous Glitch compilation of all time, I'd say it falls firmly into that subgenre. Another couple of amazing artists are Kashiwa Daisuke and Ametsub, if you like this style of music.
Funny how terms and musical "cultures" change. This was considered "IDM" (I hate that term) And now there's music being produced very similar to this, referred to as microhouse, or sometimes being confused with minimal techno. It's not bad. No "masterpiece" though.
Fell hard into this album in 2002. Still excites me all the same.
Same here! 🙏🏼
I wish all Click & Cuts releases were on Spotify
I can't explain the power of that tune

Rob Cao this is in no way trip hop.
It's more akin to dub-techno.
After listening some bad japanoise songs I clicked in this video and I was ready to hear some extreme noise (and scared). But this makes me calm =]

Maybe it was a parrot
Pure io. XD Questa canzone è così "moderna", "futuristica".
In '97 we called this Tech House, not to be confused with Minimal Tech :-P.
Love your plug-ins!
Ishkur calls this Techno Dub, but I think this fits Microhouse
Definitely, Dub techno is way darker
Sammy Koresh its dub techno due to the signature heavy use of reverb
Daniel lhk no
Alex Smith uhhh.. do u know the difference between house and techno? and what is reverb?
this is win
An apt title
you aint telling me this aint robot music
I doubt that the producer was part of any movement, other than IDM. This very much sounds like furniture music though. Very modern sounding.
I´d call it micro funk. ^^
CARLO PASTORE VEGLIA SU DI NOI.
Mirko Eric ancora nel 2018, Carlo Pastore unico messia
