Hell yes for a NC Cattin video, man that was awesome. That was well worth the fight, good line, good rod and reel, good knots, and some patience. I'll take this any day.
You had me on the edge of my seat couldn't wait to see how big it was didn't want to fast forward, enjoyed would like to see a catfish trip thanks Landon Good Bless!!
Nice! I've lost a plenty fishing reels dealing with those Lake N rman Monsters! I was hoping that was one of those rare Lake Norman Largemouth Monsters! Enjoyed it!!
Unreal fight !!! Fellow stratos owner here! Work nights and weekends a lot would love to fish the Tuesday trail keep me posted how and when it starts back up if you don’t mind or send me info if you could ! Love the local vids !
Good to know the class of catfish that I broke off last fall. Was fishing a 3" keitech easy shiner on an okashira head around docks, hooked into a fish that literally ran for 20 seconds straight and my line was wrapped around a post. Fought it for about 2 minutes when I tried to see if I could stop it just for a second or persuade to open water rather than the rocks and laydowns and broke instantly. Shouldn't have tried to stop it and just trusted my gear, but hindsight is always 20/20.
It probably was this size or bigger, there's alot of big catfish in Norman. I got lucky on this one. I hooked something big on a crankbait once stripped off line, then bent my hook out and got off
Niceeeee, heck of a fight ..I caught a flathead over 50lbs this year bass fishing, but mine was as little bit easier,17lb floro on a jig..that mystery of how big and what is on the other end of the line is like nothing else, kept saying I just wanted to know how big it was 😂🤣,good job fighting it on light tackle, atleast it let's you have confidence in your set up and drag
Yea I agree,it was on Wylie this year,he was in 3ft of water, soon and set the hook within 3 seconds I knew it wasnt a basd, same as you,I cant download a pic but it's on my fb page beginning of april..it was bittersweet but alot of fun
What a fight. I have caught them to. It's fun, tiring and almost boring but when you get them in it's unreal the monster you catch. What I want to know is did you put a blade to that ugly whale for catfish steaks.......? Good video keep them coming...
Big catfish ! Caught a couple bass Friday night on Wylie from bank, one was almost 5 pounds. Hey man the Lowe’s by my house is hiring and I think you have mentioned that you work there, I was thinking about applying. Do you like working there ? Thanks!
I love catching these when you only expect small bass on LKN. It breaks up the monotony. Last blue I caught was under the Queen of LKN boat. I was fishing a crankbait and he smashed it! Prolly 25 lbs...hell you catch and release mostly on LKN so who cares, I'd like to see a huge flathead!
Should’ve thrown that back. I’m all for some fried catfish but there’s no reason to keep a 40 pounder. Those are the backbone to the future of the fishery. I know it’s hard sometimes when you catch the biggest fish you’ve ever caught because you want to take it home and show it to your friends and family. Either way, awesome catch.
Nice fish I think you should do catfish cause I have a lake house their and we catfish everytime were their at night and bass fish and we catch lots of catfish some big flatheads too
Nice spot!!!! But what's illegal with having a tournament? Just have to reduce the amount of the boats and distance eachother while at weigh in, and use a non wildlife boat ramp.
You say it is easy to catch there at lake Norman would love you to show me sometime! If you would not mind just name the day and time we can even use my boat!

It was a lucky catch for sure way bigger than anything I've ever caught. I'm far from catfishing expert but I'll try a catfish video soon

Great video. Love hooking into large fish and enjoying the fight. Light line, battle of wits. Happy you stuck to it and were able to share.
Thanks it was a battle I'm lucky I caught it

For sure probably the biggest fish I'll ever catch thanks

It was a crazy fight. I said your striper was way bigger than anything I've caught well not anymore lol
I can't believe that little shaky head setup held that fish and didn't bend out. Nice catch!
I was surprised too I got lucky. It was way bigger than anything I've ever caught
Me and my buddies saw you yesterday fishing, cool to see it man!

It was really fat full of mussels

By the way it was in a tournament and lost bout 15mins 😂
That's crazy if its was in a tournament I would be annoyed but a catfish that big is worth catching

It was very tiring and yes I took it home and split the meat with 4 people. It had about 15lbs of fillets on it
Awesome video that’s a good day . I got a flat head the other day video dropping soon
I seen that big flathead. I still haven't caught a giant flathead yet that's next for me. I'll be looking for the video

It's a good job I work at the distribution center so its alot of manual labor but I don't have to deal with people.

Or.....when you hook into an elusive Striper!
That's awesome a really big catfish on a crankbait and I've caught alot of bass in that spot alot of shad there. Now I need to catch a big flathead

You're right I definitely should have let it go. The small ones taste better anyways. In the future I'll let go any big fish.
Good fishing! Never tried eating Bass, how do they eat?
I never eat bass either but I tried it years ago and it wasn't very good at all
Nice catch man that's a huge catfish. What bridge did you catch that crappie on if you don't mind telling
I got lucky for sure and it was the perth rd bridge near skippers. There's alot of brushpiles back there, it's a know crappie fishing spot

I want to catch a big flathead so I'll probably try live bluegill and go for big catfish maybe a big bass.
NC Bassin yep the one flathead that’s caught from my dock was in live bait
Also I caught a really big bass from live bait in the same day. Over 5 pounds for sure but we never had a scale
Dude, that must have been a 10min fight...congrats.
It was 30 minute fight, it was a workout that's for sure. I thought it would never give up
Good fish. Yes, do some catfishing videos.
Thanks it was way bigger than anything I've ever caught and ok
Holy hell, thats things a tank!

Yeah it's not illegal I just want to fish a tournament and I'm jealous lol. I hope they open the tournament permits back up soon
Dont need to have a tournament permit if the tournament is held at a non wildlife boat ramp.
Yes I know they've had a lot of them but we can't have our Tuesday tournaments until they come back. So I've just been out of luck
You say it is easy to catch there at lake Norman would love you to show me sometime! If you would not mind just name the day and time we can even use my boat!
Awesome I'll have to keep you in mind. Sometimes it can be really difficult to catch bass at Norman but easier than other lakes in our area
@@landonmoore76 Sounds great just let me know when you like me to show up Im in Asheville so I have a little travel time!
How’d it taste?
Pretty good but small cats taste better and I still think white perch are the best tasting fish from Norman
Why is it always a spinning rod? Its never a baitcaster with 20lb floro haha.
You're a regular old Deiter Melhorn!
Lol Yeah they always bite the finesse rod or crankbait. This one is small to Deiter Melhorn
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty
How’d you get that sucker home
I got slime all over my boat but I threw it in the back of the truck on the way home
Yea do some catfish videos and let's see what Norman has to offer!!
I'm not a pro at catfishing but I know there some giant blues and flatheads in there
Either way it's fun when u hook into them, may want to beef up ur gear a bit!!
Hey man I got a serious question about baits like pretty serious please respond if interested

That’s a stud
It was a lucky catch way bigger than anything I've ever caught
I done real good near that wall,
There's alot of shad over there. I've caught a few there but there's always boats on that spot
Man, that thing would make catfish steaks.
It made a few big ziploc bags of catfish nuggets. That was one hell of a fight.
That is the fattest cat I've ever seen bro, outstanding!
#NC Cool Cattin' 😎
That catfish was full of mussels
I’ve caught more catfish in the day time on bass lures on that lake than I have at night with catfish bait, but never one that big
It was a big one. I was lucky to even get it in

That's awesome crazy fight on light tackle
I was gonna fish there yesterday but they say the water contaminated
Nope the water is fine they say just not to eat fish from there everyday because of the radiation
fuggn nice
Thanks it was a giant
I wish you would just make another video at this point. It’s been awhile.
I wish I had a boat that works. I've spend way too much money to still not have it running. I'm about to give up and get a kayak
