I love how this really catches the tempo at which combat happens in the game. It's not as obvious in FPS mode, but the Slayer really moves at the speed of a car (and considering the lethal force he brings with the force of a fully loaded truck). It is really well captured here.
This really puts the Slayer's power into perspective. Even ARC soldiers, heavily armed and armored, can hardly put up a fight against the horde. They have a technological advantage on a level similar to when the European powers invaded Africa, and still, when they massacre thousands, millions more pour out of their portals. They are merely a setback to the power of the demon horde. But the slayer, a single man, appears out of nowhere and begins to drive the swarm back. His power and will outshine that of the demons, his rage matching their own. He slaughtered untold millions of them, without a single scratch. Whereas the ARC fell to thousands of imps, the Slayer can hold them back on his own, without so much as a sweat. So yeah, I believe he could defeat a Chaos Marine in combat. I think he could defeat ten, even! God, he could even bring down the Chaos Gods, by himself!
this has been done already. Could the Slayer survive in the 40k universe. The answer is yes not because he would fight against the Chaos Gods, but they would use him to enforce their plan. Because as it is stated the Slayer is different, he was imbued with immortality and the ability to absorb his fallen enemies essence to power himself. So it would all depend on if the Slayer realizes he is being used by the Chaos Gods and what he would do when he found it out.

It’s animation perfection, sound effects, how fast he’s running, the narration and story is amazing. My favorite part is when he has his fight with the marauder, the animation is absolutely perfect

Honestly, I really wouldn't mind a spin-off where you play a regular joe soldier. I can imagine the Doom AI would be quiet scary without the Slayers full mobility.
Or a civilian with a kid trying your best to get to an ARC refugee center. I had a scene imagined where you lose sight of your kid by slipping off the edge of the building and while you try to get back to the kid, a demon closes in on the kid and just as its about to attack, the Slayer appears and kills every single demon. He turns towards the kid, kneels down goes to for a fist, sees its covered in blood, shakes it off and offers a fist bump to the kid. You make your way to your kid just to witness the little bonding moment, he sees you, pulls a sniper rifle off a corpse, tosses it at you and jumps out of sight
I love when he pulls out the mini gun. “ your dumb Bitch ass brought claws to a fucking 50 cal. Machine gun fight. Now come here snowflake, time to teach you about sacrifice!” *mini gun goes Brrrrrrrt*

Like the scientist sitting in the dark watching the soldiers die and then starring at a demon in the dark waiting for it to kill him, would have been awesome if it weren't for the voice over, and even the music. The music should've started when doomguy jumps out to fuckin pulverize the imp.
Both games are good. Great even. Just depends what you want: -a power trip with dance like combat and twitch reflexes -or pure survival against a horde that does not care and you need to think twice before you start shooting

Tobias Kuhn If it’s Universal, there’s some hope that we’ll get a proper DOOM movie, with hopefully Doom or Doom 2 as the game it’ll be based on. As much as I’d like for there to be a movie for Doom 2016, it’d be too expensive because of all of the CGI and special effects they’d have to use, so basing the movie off of Doom 1994 or Doom 2 would be less costly and probably a better idea altogether as it’s a tad bit more easy to do.

The job of protecting the Slayer's tomb was the most boring that anyone could have. For millennia he lay there silently, not moving, not speaking, not doing anything just entombed within that cursed sarcophagus. It was hard to even imagine that this sleeper was once the worst nightmare of every demon around. The job was really simple, just go in, and be there, don't let anyone enter the tomb or take selfies with the comatose man or whatever, just boring stuff. Until one day I went to work, a normal day as usual, and both the box, and the guy within it was gone...

Smoother than gameplay and trailers, well choreographed, also well showed merciless demons vs powerless humans which game never does and contrast between all of them and power of the Slayer. Pleasure to watch!

Tobias Kuhn If it’s Universal, there’s some hope that we’ll get a proper DOOM movie, with hopefully Doom or Doom 2 as the game it’ll be based on. As much as I’d like for there to be a movie for Doom 2016, it’d be too expensive because of all of the CGI and special effects they’d have to use, so basing the movie off of Doom 1994 or Doom 2 would be less costly and probably a better idea altogether as it’s a tad bit more easy to do.

Imagine being a demon going to the Slayer Tomb in the Kadangir Sanctum and discovering that he escaped... I'd jumped of a cliff right away.
The job of protecting the Slayer's tomb was the most boring that anyone could have. For millennia he lay there silently, not moving, not speaking, not doing anything just entombed within that cursed sarcophagus. It was hard to even imagine that this sleeper was once the worst nightmare of every demon around. The job was really simple, just go in, and be there, don't let anyone enter the tomb or take selfies with the comatose man or whatever, just boring stuff. Until one day I went to work, a normal day as usual, and both the box, and the guy within it was gone...
