Thanks for sharing this Zilla. My copy of Heat: Pedal to the Metal just arrived today which I’m excited for, it’s been getting great reviews. That one is built around cards and focuses on the feeling of racing. This looks like a very interesting “simulation” board game.
Sure thing, and nice that you've got a new game! I've not heard of that one, sounds interesting as well, and very different from Pole Position, as you mention. :)
Thank you for the Interview. A minor thing… in GB the cars drive in the left lane. I guess that should show on the GB circuit. Thinking about the cars on the streets to the lower left. 😊
Nice game! I will look for it. One of my all time favorites is an F1 boardgame from the late '70s early '80s. I still have it, but have not played it in over 40 years I think. It has 6 cars, various cards, a shift box for each car, each with its own pros and cons, one circuit with a pit-stop. Very good. Would love to play it again.
I do like the looks of this one, yes. I'm not familiar with older race games. I know I played a few as a kid, but their names are lost to memory. :) I like the strategic approach to this one.
The strategic approach and the campaign/championship mode sounds like a lot of fun. It seems like a "more the merrier" game, too. I can see some epic 4- to 6-player races.
This looks interesting. I backed Race! Formula 90 (one of the games the designer mentioned) last year about this time - due to arrive next month. I wonder why the designer doesn't feel this one is ready for solo play? He does mention bots will pad out the number of players.
That would have been a really good question for the person interviewing to ask. 😀 I wonder if it's the way the game plays with 5 bots and 1 player? I could see it being quite time consuming to have to process five moves to your one.
I started watching, thinking "I don't care about auto racing" and before I got halfway through the video I thought "Whaoh, this is really cool!" Might have to pick this up.
I read a design book by an engineer who worked with Formula 1 race teams, and the levels that those guys go to basically redesign entire car systems between races is an amazing story. So the depth is insane with this sport. :)

Oh, that's an interesting observation, for sure! Nice catch!

I'm not really a board game person, but this has my interest
It looks quite deep and fun, yes. I can see why you might enjoy it!

I hear you. I think the strategic level of the game could be quite fun, and it looks like a decision rich environment. :)
@@ZillaBlitz Like many, I just thought racing was about putting the pedal to the floor and hanging on. Apparently, there's more to it. Who knew?😆

Not unlike ATS.
I love F1 except my favorite driver just left, Vettel.
For sure, I can totally understand that. Sad to see the end of his career, for sure.
Everybody is a Sebastian vettel fan
It's not new - It's Formula De / Formula D re-hashed
