Hey Brian. I have a question in regards to playing this song in a different variation. On the elevation tutorial Chris shows how to play this with the capo on the 1st fret. However, in their acoustic video chris is playing with open chords while the other guitarist is playing the capo 1st fret. Would you know the notes he is playing (chris) with the open style chords? Thanks
Hi guys it all sounds great so please don’t get me wrong but, when are you going to do walk throughs with the electric guitars - there’s only a handful of videos at the moment in comparison to the acoustic walk throughs. Quite disappointed.
Electric guitar tutorials are a lot harder to make, and there are a few really great resources out there for them (like Worship Artistry), but we’re planning to really ramp up our production of them in 2019.
Yes the helix floor and the LT are the same in terms of tones and processing. The floor has more ins and out and scribble strips. But all tones made in a helix can be used on an LT.
I don't have experience with Fractal or Kemper, but I can tell you why I chose Helix. I actually have a Helix LT (saved some money and it does all I need anyway). I like the all-in-one functionality. No external controller or expression pedal needed (although you can connect a second expression pedal if you want to). I was already familiar with Line6 products and knew they had a large community of users to learn from. With Helix, you can run 2 amps in stereo or mono or any blend. I know Kemper only does 1 amp at a time. Not sure about Fractal. The work flow on the Helix is very intuitive for me. Tone wise, I think they all are very comparable, especially if using IRs. Really, you can't go wrong with any of them. Some people swear the Kemper has better amp models than Helix, but I happen to know that several Elevation guitarists switched from Kemper to Helix because of the sound. So take that for what it's worth, everybody has an opinion.
Do the Helix Patches work on the HX Effects boards as well? I’d rather spend $600 on that than $1500 on a helix considering I’m a 19 year old college student
Hey man! 24 YO recent college grad here, I am not sure the Helix patches will work on the effects, but I highly recommend you take a look at the Pod Go! It’s only about $475, and they make amazing sounding patches for it too, that sound 90% as good as these, if not even closer. As a guitarist/ bass guitarist, I ditched my old pedals and rig for a Pod Go- based setup, and LOVE it for live and recording situations! Hope this helps! I have their AC30 and Swells patch on my pod go, and they are my two most used patches!

How do you get the tone to be darker? I just got a helix and everything seems to be too bright for me..
Tweaking stock cabs with hi and lo cuts or using IR's. The IR WT uses for most of their patches is legit and super creamy just like this.
How was the tuning after that dive bomb at the end? :-)
