We never watched Strictly in our house until Chris took part. Absolutely fantastic, anything is possible if you believe in yourself. Well done Chris and Dianne.
I never watched I'm a Celerity Get Me Out of Here until it came to Wales in 2021 because it couldn't be in its usual location of Australia. We watched some of it to see the location and if we recognised it, but it's not really our thing.
People can say whatever they want, but if you don’t have dance experience you don’t know how much you rely on the mirror during practices and videos to refine the movements. The magic that he and Dianne created during those dances was so moving, proving the strength of their partnership. He followed through with the choreography and for me he never embarrassed himself. People felt inspired and vote for him. 🎉😊
I grew up in the Liverpool area in the 90s. And Chris' general demeanour, so reminds me of growing up in the 90s. When people were more about kindness, more about community, less about aggressive self-interest and self-absorption than they are today. Chris' win and intense popularity shows we're crying out for a return to that in some ways.
Such a beautiful moment. He and Dianne are remarkable. He’s opened up a world of possibilities for others. Of course he wasn’t the best dancer but he was the best entertainer. And his journey was incredible. I am certain the other finalists will be thrilled for him. When he danced to YNWA the goosebumps had goosebumps. It was truly lovely.
He felt the fear and gave it a go anyway - and look what happened. I liked him and enjoyed his comedy before. I love him now. It’s lovely to see his success. 💜
@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 I loved too many but my favourite was the American Smooth/The Viennese Waltz/Salsa/Couples Choice/Foxtrot/etc etc etc etc, hope we have somebody as nice as him next year,
WOW WOW WOW . Give me a man of average ability but with a burning desire its ot ability its desire and I will give you a WINNER in return every time. ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Well done to him, but I knew this would lead to slew of well meaning statements like 'anything is possible if your disabled now!' Well, it ain't. Please people, be careful not to be accidentally patronising and falsely positive. He did what he did with lots of support. It doesn't mean my mate with MS or myself with issues can just do what we want. Please, be supportive of him sure , but don't come out with mindless platitudes. It's hard enough getting your disabilities took seriously sometimes, without everyone thinking all you need is a positive attitude to overcome them. With respect, a disabled person. Well done Chris. I'm still not watching the show tho. Can't stand it myself!
I understand what you’re saying , it must be very hard . As a fully able bodied person I feel there are so many things I “can’t “ do . I think it is just changing the way we think - not expecting the impossible.
It doesn't matter disabled or not it means anything in life is possible, if you want it hard enough. Don't let things rule you, you rule it, what ever it is.
I think overall it's more positive than negative. People often make assumptions about what blind people can do, and often people treat them as if they're more disabled than they are, or frail, or like their lives are constant tragedy. I do think he talked a bit about some of the special techniques he used to learn dance moves... I do see where your fear is coming from though. People can be very unforgiving sometimes and act as if disabled people shouldn't need any accomadations.
It was so disappointing. Without a doubt Aljaz and Tasha were the winners. That last dance they did was fantastic. Is it a dancing competition? Really unfair.😮
No wonder he's laughing shedding all these tears was worth it. Must be great being the worst at something and coming first. What a joke. Good career move Chris pity the dance moves were not as good.
Stop commenting saying people pity Chris. NOBODY WHO VOTED FOR HIM PITIES CHRIS. We are inspired, amazed, impressed - not pitying! Shame on you ableist scrooge.
It's a competition read the conditions The worst does not first. It's a pantomime. He was never in a dance off otherwise he would have been off early. Fix.
Not necessarily, he worked hard for all the time he was on the show,no videos or photos to see position s so totally down to determination, Good for you Chris and Dianne 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
He’s blind! He doesn’t even know how well his dances are! He’s not able to to see the things he needs to improve on. I wouldn’t say it’s a sympathy vote. But rather the fact that regardless of him being blind, he DID it. And proved that anyone can achieve it
It is a farce that a man that cannot dance won a competition were loads of dancers were far better than him. Tasha is the true winner, even the judges said she was the very best dancer the show had ever seen in its 20 years. But, the public felt sorry for the little blind guy who was trying hard-he should have been voted off a couple of weeks in as he was so bad a dancer, he should also been voted off for his pathetic cheesy jokes, not funny, not a dancer, just a little blind guy who everybody felt sorry for, pathetic.
It's not the olympics, it's a couple of minor celebrities dancing on evening tv for light entertainment. If you'd purely judge dancing ability, the format would be the most boring show on TV and you'd have to bin off the public vote. When it comes to progress within the show, Chris is by far the best. If it comes to captivating the audience, Chris is by far the best. And saying that he can't dance is just plain wrong. Dancing is not just about doing steps and lifts.
Chris was not even the fourth best dancer. He got the sympathy vote throughout. Feel sorry for the other three pairs not to be recognised for their skills they were brilliant. In a competition the best should win. Great dancers the other three pairs they were robbed.
@@gordonshepherd3062what a vile comment. The other contestants have said how amazing Chris is and how happy they are that he won. They are amazing yes but tbf Chris was the only one to have never had any dance experience. What he has achieved is absolutely incredible
This is pathetic he should have gone earlier. Enjoy all the publicity and whatever comes from it tongue cheek you were far from the best Chris. The other pairs deserve better. He's probably a better actor than a dancer. Talk about playing on emotions wow. It's pantomime season. I stated that Chris was amazing but I take it back. His win does not feel right he was not even in a dance off if he was he would have been off weird.
I love this guy with a passion. I've watched Strictly for 20 years and no one has left a legacy quite like Chris and Dianne...
So so true

Wow! Chris and Dianne you were amazing to watch. Never had there been more deserving winners . You have brought the joy back to strictly. Thankyou❤
What an absolute star ! Delighted he & Dianne won this year. The partnership that Strictly needed this year
Sheer determination and amazing people, Chris and Dianne , An inspiration to all!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
A huge Congratulations Chris and Dianne on winning the Glitterball Trophy and a huge well done.😀👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🕺💃🏆🥇🥇

That was NOT my experience of the 90s at all. Sounds like you simply had a happy childhood.
so glad Chris and Dianne won they were my winners Chris was brilliant
What a lovely lovely man, so deserving of his success. He got all my votes every week. Despite his handicap he’s a great dancer.
As Brucie would say Chris you are my favourite
Even his first words.. hes real and honest. It's hard work and he's knackered and he deserves that win hence
absolutely deserved to win

I have a disability and he has inspired me. Impossible is now possible!!!!
This was always going to be Dianne's year, she's been working HARD for that last six years to be able to lift the glitterball.
✨️ well deserved ✨️🥂🏆
Dianne is a brilliant teacher ❤
Congratulations Chris and Dianne. 👍
Sooo amazing Chris and Dianne won. Incredible to watch him dance 💚
I was right with you Chris I was an emotional wreck .. both you and Dianne were amazing and I thank you for being an inspiration ❤
Chris you’ve always been a legend this just confirms it

Thrilled for you both. You were amazing. Over the moon that you so deservedly won.

Inspirational man . Congrats to his wonderful dancing partner too.
Called it! Knew they'd do it right from the start, totally deserved winners.
You knew it was fixed? Good for you.
I wasnt sure how chris would do it before week 1 but hes changed my mind now. I will admit that
I admit I also had my doubts, but from week one he had my vote.
@vallee3140 my favourite dance Chris did was the waltz

Ahhhh....funny seeing him without Di. We'll have to get used to that now.
Its not the same
Its weird, seeing 1 without the other, normally they'd both be on talking about the win,i wonder why Di wasn't there
@@lynnemarshall3584she's gone on holiday today, I guess maybe when she booked it she didn't think she'd have to do any press after the final lol

More emotional than Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey!! 😭😭😭😭
One word will do….brilliant….
Such a shame the people Chris was representing were unable to see his inspirational performances.
Did Shirley get a glitter ball for Diane it was a well deserved win ❤
I know she should have presented a one on the night
Dianne took one home, so wondered do they both get one?
Yes they get one each

Oh. Nooooo. Wheres Dianne. Cant have Chris without Di
