I love XT4. Any character that branches away from the standard human body build looks super unique. I can imagine them just slapping whatever they could find in their factory onto their body and using it as a weapon, always adding to themself and repairing themselves as they battle Nex.
I remember getting xt4 as a kid. I liked this set very much
He looks like a Frankenstein monster type robot especially with his wide jaw.
Like he was made for killing using other parts of previously destroyed robots and then brought to life in a very illegal way.
He also looks like that transformer that turns into a boom box.
Toxic Reepa already had that piece. That’s how his head is attached in his original instructions
Xt4 also introduced the smallest CCBS Torso that was then used with Invasion from Below & all of BIONICLE G2's Protector and Creature Sets
I'm not even sure XT4 needs to cram itself into nooks and crannies, considering its sawblade could probably just cut through any obstacles between it and its target.
I had it on a metal tv stand, intended for older, smaller tvs that was in the corner of my room, knelt down weirdly with the three-joint legs, saw covering the face a bit, aiming down the laser at Nex who was aiming from my chest of drawers using their own laser back, a sniper duel in my room.
The skinny build makes him look like some kinda zombie robot that rose out of the scrap heap with a vengeance
Can we get a video like this with jawblade? I saw a revamp of him and I’m really inspired to make one and these videos help😂
My favorite detail on XT4 is his mask/face, specifically that his mouth is a trash grinder/industrial shredder. He really does just feel like a construction site came to life and is trying to kill you. Don't really know anyway of utilizing that in a MOC, I just think it's a cool detail

When I first saw this man I was amazed. When I got him, I was more than happy. I was ready to vomit rainbow from excitement just like I that old meme featuring poker face. And I still love his design now. Minimalistic, robotic design which makes me think that XT4 is a mass produced grunt with some fairly heavy armory
You probably could have just screen recorded the video of that XT4 revamp's play feature instead of downloading it.

if i recall correctly in the story xt4 is a factory robot, that was reprogrammed by black phantom, that's why he doesn't have any real armour,
i remember getting when i was 11? it was a cool experience because it was the first time i got to own one of those GIANT sawblades from powerminers
He's always reminded me of Frenzy from the 2007 Transformers movie.
NGL XT4 looks like he could be part of a army of identical robots.
If the black bones had armor, the set would probably be better. I think the gray being unarmored and allowing that movement is good, but going so minimal is definitely unfinished. Give him some Popeye arms and I bet you're good to go.
I think it looks unfinished specifically because we see the balls where the armor shells are supposed to go, whereas if they had those skeleton arm bones that came with the Bionicle G2 villains the skinny aesthetic would work great

Hey Ben, I was wondering, when HF Feb is over, could you maybe try to do another video on good parts pack sets (for Bionicle MOCs specifically)?
Because I know I am looking at the 40747 Daffodils set for the large amount of the small axle pieces in black, there's some light saber sized sticks in white, gold, brown, some technic pieces, and those leaf pieces which could be good for wings and such, nature style MOCs;
I wanted to ask if that set is worth it, which I think it is, but yea, I'd love to see a video on which sets are good parts packs for Bionicle/Constraction MOCs exclusively;
oh AND that 60 green pieces with axle holes on both ends.. HOT DANG (as you say)
Also the 4 gray technic pieces that the leaves connect to, and those weird pieces I don't have on which three light saber size pieces can stick on, as well as some system pieces and 24 shields (HOT DANG)

Found a case of these guys that had fallen behind a shelf they had been there so long the system marked them down to a dollar. So I spent 8 bucks and bought them all

so for moc building or creation, what would you say is the best thing to buy? lego technic? or hunting for herofactory pieces?
If you want something you can get on any store shelf, technic is your best bet.
But if you can track down some Hero Factory online or at a independent LEGO store, that's your best bet for sure!

My only problem with the big one is that it barely has any weapons to combat someone besides his weak looking gun and buzzsaw

This is possibly the worst character to do a video like this on, he's just ccbs bones, all the pieces that are wholly unique to him are only usable in very specific cases. Most of these videos are somewhat entertaining, but this one has the most obvious content-farming.
Content farming? Ever think maybe he just wanted to make this video cause he had xt4 as a kid and wanted to remake and and improve him and show other people his parts in other mocs?
