For me this is one of the most atmospheric and powerful mission I have ever seen in cod games. Music, voices, presentation is top notch. Al Assad is badass
This is about the worst and last thing any compassionate leader of a nation, would want to see, watching the very nation they tried to build up, tear itself apart.
He was literally bending over to the west. They are not the bad guy in the MW Trilogy. The only bad person in the MW trilogy is Makarov, a true psychopath.

Al-Asad's original voice is better than remastered version voice but that not makes remastered bad they can change the voice to original

Yeah, you're totally right. This voice sounds much better. I noticed few more differences that bother me very much. When they passed the guy who was spraying on a wall with spray, on that wall was one of the developers. Now he's missing in the remastered. Also, the line "this is how it begins" just before the execution is said in front of camera but in remastered he says his last sentence in the time you're getting tied on that poll amd then awkward silence is happening
Btw they changed Al Asads voice because the way he's speaking and Arabic are not grammatically correct. It's like Google translate did this. It's pain in the ass. I guess that's why

He speaks with such flair and Confidence, The Charisma alone even in a foreign language had me wanting to get an AK and join his forces, And i am speaking as a foreign National, His speech alone could give you the courage to fight both American and Russian forces without faltering, He sounds so hype that you can't help but to get jumped up as well. And the Arabic BGM makes it feel Primo Middle-eastern feel, This man has power and he flaunts it without fear and Spites the west without reprecusions, With such care he is speaking of Rending Chains from where powers who dare you to defy them by not bowing into the sandy dirt. And i better cut myself off, But it's just that Self-confident Charisma that keeps bringing me back, My inspiration for the most Spirited speeches with FEELING, Power and Confidence.

The remastered voice is more accurate but I hoped that the new voice actor for Al Asad would make it sound more passionate like in the OG but what also was bitter was that the voice actor for Zakhaev was changed, too of course since his OG voice actor passed away, bless his soul.
Al Asad speech is about how Al-Fulani government was corrupt and he promise prosperity, and now there is a revolution that will change the country, so why in the bloody hell he sounds like a scary boy in remastered, you accomplish your primary objective, you must sound like this one.

For those of you saying the ultranationalists are like isis, Isis, is starting a religious war, Zakhaev and the Ultranationalists are starting a revolution against the goverment like Hitler and the Nazis. The only thing the Ultranationalists and Isis really have in common are that they are both from the middle east.

In the original cod4 Al fulani was pulled out of the car before being kicked in the face, but in the remaster, he was pulled out of the car and looks at the barking german shepherd before being kicked in the face.

I played the remastered version of this and it is so much different.
I remember the first time I ever played this mission, it was so intense and really immersed me into the game, it's more of a POV mission that shows some plot as well as an intense atmosphere. Watching from the perspective of a leader being lead to his very execution and in his final moments of life he sees anarchy, downfall, innocent people being executed. Such a powerful immersive mission that really brought you right into the story with no sugar coating. Miss these days of CoD.

Yes. COD4 predicts few things:
1) That Middle East monarchs will be overthrown in a popular revolution, but the new president will be a Western puppet. Then a 2nd revolution (led by al-Asad, he's not that al-Assad from Syria) will be carried out by military coup, triggering US invasion as West doesn't want Arabian Peninsula fell to populist rule.
2) Kremlin govt who use to serve Russian interest will betray the Russian populace and sides with West. The govt will become more oligarchic and corrupt, triggering 2nd Russian civil war.
3) The West will gradually decline as world unilateral power, replacing with multilateral rule which will also trigger WW3.

They kinda wrecked this sequence in the Remastered version. They lowered the music WAY too much and there's no way to turn it back up; a lot of the impact is lost even though it looks better.

Why Do all Enemies in COD 4 Have dogs? Arabs Don't have Dogs as Pets (Except For Hunting and livestock Purposes)
dude they are German shepards, used for combat and military purposes
and i know arabs aren't allowed to have dogs, more of a tradition from islamic purposes
Most Arabs prefer oryxes And Horses, etc.
Inkl1ng First Opfor uses them for combat and Second its implied that they are secularists.
Some Islamic scholars also say petting dogs is actually okay in Islam as long as you only pet them to guard your house outside or to assist you for hunting purposes. In this case, the Al-Assad's forces used them for combat, which is religiously okay.
Islamically, dogs are not allowed to go into your homes nor into places of worship because their saliva is considered _najis_ (unclean). I remember watching a news about an American who had one of his legs amputated after it got licked by his own dog. The doctor found out that the dog's saliva was infectious, and thus the man's leg had to be amputated.

Well, Modern Warfare is exceptionally vague.
For example, the rhetoric and uniforms of al-Assad and his army imply that he could either be a Baathist (like Assad in Syria or Saddam Hussein in Iraq) or an Islamic Fundamentalist.
The Russian "Ultra-Nationalists" use a mixture of Fascist and Communist rhetoric and symbols.
I think that Modern Warfare didn't want to name a specific Middle Eastern country or ideology and they did the same with the Russian villains to an extent. Basically turning them into "Commie-Nazis".

Well this level shows us a major antagonists (Viktor Zakhaev, Imran Zakhaev and Khaled Al-Asad), who already started their plan into motion. In fact even though we (as Soap MacTavish) participated in death of all of them, their factions (Ultranationalists and OpFor) are still won, because Ultranationalists later (in MW2) became a single political party and government in Russia, while OpFor destruction of those 3000 Marines made General Shepherd a rogue, traitor and villain.
Probably The strongest Arab leader in history who never came to Life.
I fucking hate the remastered version when it comes to this mission, yeah it looks good but everything is just fucked up
First of all, Al-Asad's remastered speech has been redone but now has literally no emotion, and whilst in the original game, there was a cold and dark colour scheme which worked with the dark tone of the story and game, the ridiculous bright lighting in the new game just doesn't work with the story
I still like MWR but will always take COD4 over it
