I work at merriweather post pavilion and had never really heard any Mumford but after they played there tonight I'm convinced that this is my new favorite song and this is coming from a metal head
I watch this video atleast 10 times a day!!! Love this song....M&S is all that has been playing on my ipod for months now. Love em!! Can't wait for next year's festivals b/c I am SOOOOOOOOO going!! I wish they'd do a show close to where I'm at!!
I love the harmony between Marcus and Ben @4:17 soooo much emotion...the whole song kicks sooo much ass Marus' intensity from 3:48 til pretty much the end is insane!! I love how they just open their hearts and let it make such incredible music... I Love them!!!!
This is Amazing. They are story tellers, they remind me of those gypsy bands who used to wonder from vilage to vilage and play their stories... It's like you feel part of a community when you hear their songs, I can't explain it...
Saw them may 31 in berkeley california usa.... They played at the greek theatre. My daughter found a place for us to stand and it was right in front of the stage . Their music is so beautiful. I loved being that close And when we turned around to look at the crowd ,it was awesome. Everyone was perfectly lined in their seats or spots and it looked so neat. But they are amazing musicians. I just was taken by every song And they performed 18 or 19 songs Other bands dont do that Other bands give
They are the best! My son, 5, sings this song all the time lately. I hope they are here for his generation too! Where is Lowlands? Someplace I should probably know more about. Great lyrics too! You can tell they are striving for more than mediocre and have achieved it times 10.
We all have a song or band that makes us feel like the fans being mentioned, it is a shame some are too afraid to display raw emotion. ego gets in the way of us being ourselves at all times. I like that they actually showed these fans. I think Mumford is passionate about their music and it brings passion out in others. Kudos to this guy for being able to bask in it....high or not. I would have been right there with him.
Sold alot and alot of albums in the America, which is quite an Achievement for a brittish folkband. And they are known now in europa. So they are quite famous already. Last weekend they played on Pinkpop, 3 day festival in teh south of the Netherlands. They played mainstage in front of 60.000 people and right before The Boss would play mainstage. Springsteen watched their whole concert such as Sea Sick Steve did. So i would say they are famous.
haha, i dunno if it ruins it, he's just closing his eyes so he can listen more completely! .... or he's blazed out of his mind. Either way, hes having a great time!
crazy, how many people say that england is fucked up (economically, etc...) at least they still do amazing music (mumford and sons, frank turner, young rebel set, ......)
Except that's not irony. That's, strictly speaking, coincidence. Irony would be if a guy said "I'm thirsty" when he sang that. The inaccurate definition of irony is the leading cause of hipsterdom in the world.
Every band needs that 1 song of epic proportions. This one without a doubt is theirs.
This and dust bowl dance have always truly stuck out to me as just somewhat haunting masterpieces
You know a band is good when you are in tears after a song like this.
I present to ladies and gentlemen...the definition of talent.

Learn what irony means.
oh the drunk and happy song (half of them ) seem unaffected by this moving song. A pitty.
Except that's not irony. That's, strictly speaking, coincidence. Irony would be if a guy said "I'm thirsty" when he sang that. The inaccurate definition of irony is the leading cause of hipsterdom in the world.
