I feel the reason this did so well in the UK is that it feels VERY reminiscent of Slade. You could picture this being sung on Top of the Pops in the 70s
When this first came out I was slightly disappointed. I didn’t feel it was on par with Detroit Rock City, Love Gun, God of Thunder, Lick It Up, you know, the REAL KISS songs. But when you open your mind, Crazy Night has some amazing tracks. Reason to Live is by far my favorite track of the Crazy Nights LP and actually has become one of my favorite Kiss tracks
